[Here sits Denji with his feet dangling over the dock's edge in Eltrut looking out towards the setting sun with a stoic expression over his features, twiddling his thumbs as he contemplates how best to ask the rather serious question that has been mauling about his brain for the better part of a weeks time now. Being trapped in this newfound world for over a month now has given him time to learn a few things about his situation here and found out a few people who've been brought to Escordvi's shores were dead before their arrival. In his days as a devil hunter for Public Safety he's seen a number of his co-workers, some he would even call friends taken before their time from gruesome deaths he would not wish upon anyone besides his enemies that opposed them anyways. One person in particular he feels slightly responsible for given he was the one who had to put him out of his misery before hurting innocent bystanders in the wake of their horrible transformation under the Gun Devil's influence.

Looking over to his shellphone propped up against a nearby barrel the teenage boy sighs solemnly before he just comes right out and asks the masses for advice and perhaps guidance on how he might go about achieving his new goal of resurrecting his departed friend back from the grave. Despite Aki's desire to rid their world of the terror he unfortunately succumbed to perhaps he could find solace here with a new life void of worry and sorrow. One of the people he could almost call actual 'family', a sort of big brother figure who vouched for him on more than one occasion. He owed it to his colleague to at least try after everything he did for him, giving him money to keep a roof over both he and Power's head after passing away on top of everything else.]

Yo...Denji here. Does anyone know if there is some way to bring people back from the dead here? I know there are relics and magical shit all over the place and thought maybe someone found something that could maybe do that?

Yes, if it wasn't the mage being dragged into the Void, it was the summoned entity wreaking havoc or killing them. Assuming it worked in the first place. Even I, who can pluck souls out of the Lifestream, would not try to put a departed soul back into its body.

But then again, I can only speak from my own experience on my star. Perhaps someone else knows of a way to resurrect the dead.

[The latter part of Emet's rebuttal makes him think for a second after the whole soul plucking bit, cocking his head with curiosity.]

Have you ever wanted to...Y'know...Try it yourself? I could use someone who knows a thing or two about soul pluckin'.

[Extending out an open hand as if to shake the others with an amused smirk.]

[ Putting aside the fact that Emet-Selch couldn't shake that hand over shellphone, he spends a good minute staring flatly at the proffered hand and then at the smug look on the boy's face.

He won't deny that the temptation remains. Given a second chance, he would not do anything differently. But...his story has ended. His people's legacy is in another's hands now. ]

I already tried once before. I have no interest in doing so again. I will not have my memories further tarnished by a mockery of life.

Oh...Shit, really? I'm guessin' it didn't go as planned, huh?

[Rubbing the back of his neck a bit awkwardly Denji shrugs his shoulders before pointing a thumb towards his chest just above the pull cord which protrudes from his sternum fueled by determination.]

Suit yourself, man! I'm gonna find a way to bring Aki back and when I do maybe you can go for it again!

[ Denji, you're about one sentence away from having your next funeral. ]

I will thank you to not treat my losses with such flippancy, boy.

[Waving his hands in front of him defensively, Denji grits his teeth in shock.]

My bad dude! Didn't mean nothin' by it, I promise!

[A brief pause as he steals himself.]

But...I meant what I said y'know? If I do somehow find a way to bring Aki back I'll help ya out, alright?

It wouldn't work even if you did. There is nothing for you to resurrect.

[Denji just blinks wide in confusion with a tilt of his head in bewilderment.]

Huh? Whatcha mean there would be nothin' for me to resurrect?! I thought some sort of magic would just poof him back here before he died or somethin'!!

[He can be very naive at times and just over eager about things this being one such case.]

I am not talking about your friend, I am talking about my people.

But since you mention it: I hope you have body, mind, and soul prepared else you will not like what you get.

Oh...I getcha sorry man that is rough but I know how that goes too...A girl I knew name Himeno just vanished after giving up her body to the ghost devil to save Aki once. Super sucked since she was hot too.

[Not only that but Himeno was one of the few who treated him nicely as well and a good friend to him. At the mention of having the guts and will to carry on his course of action a look of pure determination crosses the boy's features as he nods immediately.]

[ Emet-Selch frowns in confusion over the latter half of their response. ]

[Blinking wide in utter confusion the boy tilts his head curiously with a shrug of his shoulders.]

Uh...No? I thought you meant that I had to give it my all or some shit.

[He's very dumb sorry Emet.]

No. I meant that, at least in my world, you should prepare a person's mind, body, and literal soul if you wish to even try and resurrect them.

[Cue the blank stare towards the feed.]

Just how the hell am I going to get their damn soul of all things let alone their body when they aren't even here man!?
