[You may have seen this very loud blue-haired man around. He's new, but he's hard to miss considering his size and bombastic nature. Right now, he's puttering around some shops on Eltrut...specifically any shops that offer custom goods. He's clearly assessing quality.]

Still figuring out how to use this damn thing...is it on?

[He stops a random passerby to inquire and...yes! They confirm that his video is sending! The hurry along their way because who just asks random strangers things? Weirdos, that's who.]

Alright! So, I've been around for a month or so and I think I've got my sea legs well enough to take the plunge here. For those of you who don't know, name's Darin Altway and I just happen to be a Master Blacksmith! What does that mean for you? Well, if you need tools or gear, then I'm your man! And trust me, my work is affordable and of the utmost quality. Even better news, I come from a port town so I know my way around a ship! So if you need something for your ships that those around here just can't provide...

[He leans in towards the camera conspiratorially.]

You should totally hire me! My goal is to open up my own forge somewhere so I gotta get striking the iron while it's hot!

Also, if you've got the scoop on where to find some quality, rare materials and need someone to help you gather them, I'm your man!

Honestly, it depends on the smith. I'm a Master in my guild and if I walk into an affiliated smithy, I can request to use the anvil with little problems. Kind of a perk of being a Master.

But my guild credentials don't matter for jack here, so I'd rather be respectful of anyone lest I get a reputation. At the very least, I want to make nice until I can open up my own forge.

As for tools though, I'm pretty sure I can handle that. I'd want to source proper materials but it's easier to make tools and nails than armor or custom weapons. What were you after?

I can probably cover the cost of the materials as well. For what I had in mind, just everyday tools. Hammers, handsaws, drills... we could also potentially use some extra knives as well.

In that case, the materials shouldn't be a problem! There's plenty of high quality scrap that can be repurposed for tools just as easily!

As for the knives, do you want something that's combat ready as well as functional? Because at that point I'd want to make sure they're balanced for your personal use.

Excellent, you're rather resourceful then.

For the knives, something more functional. More for day-to-day use, such as preparing meals, cutting materials like line or wood. Basically, just essential tools that might be needed for everyday use or work on a ship or port... and maybe let you show off your skills.

But a set of utility knives? I'd be more than happy to make those for you! Consider the job taken!
