Katsuki maybe didn't pause to consider that the bats also made him kiss Shoto. That was a thing that happened.

I ended up kissing Izuku because of them.
It was his first kiss.
He was upset about the situation.
I managed to salvage it but I think if I hadn't it would have screwed up our friendship.

It's not them. They seem to be managing friendship quite well despite the whole bat kisses escapade and Katsuki's misunderstanding of the situation that followed.

Trust me, he was upset.
It worked out fine in the end.
But I definitely think it could have easily gone a lot worse.

In another life, the misunderstanding would've amounted to an understanding if either of them knew how to work as a human body with a brain. Toge would've never been and neither would Izuku have been for Katsuki, either.

In another life. In this one... maybe it all worked out this way for a reason. Shoto seems to be head over heels for Toge and honestly? That makes Katsuki happy. Shoto deserves that. Toge also deserves that.

And Katsuki? He's honestly happier than he could have imagined with Izuku at his side.

Everything worked out in the end.

He's doing his best to not ever hurt him or fuck up a first experience ever again.

It's why I was so set on making the first date something memorable.
