Kaveh & Alhaitham
Invite you to share our joy
June 18th
Latrommi (Ignore the fact that it says Eltrut shhh)]

This is Alhaitham.

Kaveh and I are hosting a celebration as detailed above. RSVP with him if you wish to attend so that we can make the necessary arrangements. You may also do the same with me, but note that I have changed my shellphone ID to the one you currently see.

[...and yeah he's just gonna end it there. Eloquent as always, huh?]

Oh, that is very kind! To be honest, I've sort of lost track who is helping with what...

But we'd be happy to have you regardless!

Take it as a good sign that your union is well-supported!

I imagine much of the details will be taken care of by the venue,
[ as someone who has been in charge of a venue in the past,, ] But if nothing else, I can simply plan to be available during the day to help with any last-minute circumstances.

And there usually are last-minute circumstances, despite everyone's best efforts.

[ There absolutely will be... but she's not going to say it. There's always something! (Where the something is definitely not people trying to kidnap the wedding party) ]

I would strongly recommend having someone to field any unexpected surprises so that you can focus on enjoying your special day with your future spouse...

[ a day-of coordinator kind of situation... it doesn't even have to be her, but just someone who can act as the first line of defense so if the flowers are late or the cake topper goes missing Kaveh won't even have to hear about it!! ]

is that a thing people do?

[Sumina you underestimate the level of neurotic groomzilla this man may become.]

Some people, yes. We've hosted a few small weddings at my family's inn, and there usually is someone with that sort of role.

[ and it's usually her. So yeah, she doesn't know him well enough at all to understand where he is on the potential groomzilla scale, but she knows it's always a possibility. ]

Though some may prefer to be in total control, and there's nothing wrong with that. It just usually ends up being the more stressful option.

I'll admit I'm a bit nervous about the details...I just want to be sure it's special, you know? We're not likely to do this again at home.
