The backdrop appears to be a cabin on a ship somewhere. He fills most of the screen so there's not much of significance to be gleaned from it. His posture is relaxed, fingers interlaced loosely before him on the table that his shellphone sits upon. ]

Greetings, one and all.

I and Rem Tokimiya of the Raiders of the Lost Arts are seeking engineers to assist with the development of an engine. 'Tis past time we made a concerted effort to develop one. Inevitable, I would say, as this world has progressed to magical trinkets. We have examined schematics of an old pirate ship and seek to eventually put it to practical use to improve the fleets of both paladins and corsairs.

[ He pauses. It looks as though he wants to add something but he seems to think better of it. ]

Send word to either myself or Rem if you are interested in contributing to the work. While an engine capable of powering a ship is our eventual goal, 'twill be enough to make something on a smaller scale for now - such as heaters for winter or automatic fans for summer.

Stars willing, we'll be building them from the ground up. There's no point relying upon unknown relics - what will you do when they break down? No, these designs must be drawn up and replicated. Knowing its construction means problems can be diagnosed and fixed.

That's not too hard either, the relics just helped for casing anyway. You have a place you're getting the goods from already, or do we need to find a source too?

The tools will need to be made first. And then, since we seem to have many novices, I will put them to making smaller, simpler engines before I let them at the larger project of making a ship's engine.

I have some tools here, and I can probably... borrow some others, if need be. Just hammers, wrenches, you know. I've made blueprints for engines before I even built it, but I don't think we've got mythril to burn here. That's what I used before, but we'll have to have something else to ignite it.

I can help with all this though, if you'll have me. Give me something to really work my brain with beyond some little things around our island.

Using mythril as a fuel? That would be a waste. Better to use it for construction. I believe we can use fire crystals from the volcanic island as fuel for forging and other purposes instead.

Still, your expertise will be very welcome. Are there any specific requests you'd like to make? Tools that you require but know you don't have, for example.

Whatever I don't have I can probably pilfer from my dad, he's an engineer too. He's injured at the moment, but once he's on his feet I can get him to help too.

I'll take a look for tools and anything else I'm missing. And don't count mythril out, it burns pretty hot. It's what we used to power engines. I'd probably only use it in special cases anyway.
