Does anyone here know how to cut hair? Or at least, how to manage it? I’d rather not go back to the way I used to do things, but uh… things have gotten out of control. A little too much, might I add.

I could give it a try, though I can't guarantee what will be the result. I have pretty long hair myself and I usually just braid them. I could teach you how to do that.

I have had some experience, having saved the life of a hairdresser many decades ago.

What is it exactly that you wish to do with your hair? Simply cut it? Are you partial to a particular style?

Cut the split ends, mainly. Too far up and it’ll just grow back out to this length in 2 weeks.

Split ends are quite manageable. I must admit, that seems quite fast for hair to grow. Have you considered braiding it, to prevent further damage?

Wow your hair is really long.

I haven't really cut any, but there's probably a bunch of things you can do to style it. What kind of look are you going for?

Does it always grow so quickly?

Perhaps braiding then, considering the amount there is to work with you could have quite a bit of fun with it.

We couldn't have that. And who knows, perhaps if she arrives as well, she might just be keen to help you, it's quite difficult braiding so much hair without any assistance after all.

Sure you could. You could braid it, or twist it in various ways. Maki's fond of a high ponytail at the top of her head, but with enough elastics or ribbons you can do pretty much whatever you want with it.

My hair's short. I used to spike it for awhile, but now I just leave it kind of messy.

But it contains and controls your hair far better than a pony tail would, and with the added benefit of being far more attractive. The difficulty in mastering one is well worth the effort of learning. I may not have a single lock to demonstrate with, but I'd be more than willing to help you learn how to make one, if you like.

It would be easier if it simply behaved... But if I cut it, I'd never hear the end of it from my wife.
