I hope this is working? This is Sorey, if it is. I haven't really used something like this before but I hope I've figured it thanks to Nimona. Assuming this is working. I just wanted to ask. For those of you that know others here. If you remember more than the other person from home. If something happens, something bad, to them. I don't know. I want to tell them but I'm also not sure if I should? If it's my place? I don't know if that would change anything even if I were to say something. I still feel like being honest is the best, but I don't really. Know them that well? It's. Complicated....

But there is a surprising number and it makes you wonder how these rifts work. Pulling people from different times, before and after deaths. Quite the mystery.

After death? Can't say I had heard about that. Different times, different places, sure. But I guess that makes sense? I mean. If people can be pulled from different times, what's to say it couldn't be we are pulled in then?

I do have high resonance. I guess you could say, it's like a spiritual sense? So I wouldn't be necessarily all that surprised? If I were able to figure talking to ghosts or whatever, somehow.

[Because why not? He can already talk to and interact with, see, the seraphim. Why not add ghosts to the list somehow??]

Well, most humans don't really interact with seraphim - like elemental spirits. But I grew up living among them in my village, they raised me. So I have a higher level of Resonance than other humans. That I can see them, talk to them, when most others can't.

Have you tried it on the beings that live here?

[historiology]

Not yet. But it isn't really something I've had to try? To focus to do? I just can see and hear seraphim the same as I could humans. But I guess I am still learning about using it properly.

[Having a natural talent, natural ability for it doesn't necessarily mean Sorey automatically figures how to use it, with being the Shephard and figuring purifying and the likes. Lailah is still teaching him, alongside the others. It's a work in progress.]

In that case, you'd likely have an easy time with the ghost listing on the board. The one about sharing stories.

Sharing stories doesn't sound too bad?

Wait. Possess me? I'm guessing that is something different to armatizing then. I mean, I can sort of join with the seraph and make use of their elemental abilities to fight.

Is that what your "armatizing" is?

I guess. Yeah, something like that. It's just our way of fighting together as a team. To make use of our abilities. I'm the only one that can figure this, so. I have to do what I can to help out.

Are you able to communicate with them while "armatized"? Is that the phrase?

[historiology]

It's sort of like they merge with me? But yeah, they can still 'talk' to me, sort of I guess like it's maybe in my head? I haven't really tried to explain this before. But I've figured how to stop it so I can control it better now.

And it's all willing, I assume.

Of course. I need to know their True Name to be able to do it. So they have to trust me.

Can anyone make these contracts with these spirit friends of yours? Or do you need a certain power or quality?

[historiology]

Well, not really just anyone. It has to be someone that has really high spiritual sense, like I have. I think I'm the only one in a long while that's been able to see and talk to seraphim, to sense them like that. Let alone be the Shepherd to make that pact.

Sorry for all the questions, but I appreciate the answers. There's actually something similar in my world which is what made me curious.

It sounds like something from your world too? I guess it's possible? I mean, people are pulled here from all sorts of different worlds, so there's always the chance some might be quite similar?

Seems that way, which is a fascinating thing on its own.

But in my world, we have god-like beings called Eikons, and those who are chosen to be their vessel are called Dominants. They can't communicate with each other, but the Dominant are "blessed" to use the Eikon's power, even capable of transforming into the Eikon itself.

I'm not sure I would say the seraph are necessarily god-like but. The rest sounds kinda similar, yeah. Of course, some people are keen to try and figure taking advantage of my new abilities and status, but. I'm trying not to let that get to me. I would offer to show you if one of my friends were here.

It's all right, I can take your word for it. But that's the trouble with having greater powers — someone always wanting it for themselves. Just stay strong and walk your own path.
