[ The video post starts up to reveal the faces of the Hamada brothers, along with what looks like a red suitcase beside Hiro. Their location isn’t anything special, just somewhere inland on Elrut right now, but the elder brother is smiling anyway. ]

Hello everyone, I’m Tadashi Hamada and this is my younger brother…

[ Tadashi motions to Hiro. The younger brother waves, smiling, and turns his gaze from Tadashi to the phone. ]

I’m Hiro! And this… [He gestures to the suitcase next to him before purposely pulling off a plaster from his knee. His ‘ow’ in instinctive response activates the robot inside, causing Baymax to inflate and turn on, introducing himself with a wave. ]

Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I was alerted to the need for medical attention when you said ‘ow’.

You’ll be seeing Baymax around one or both of us often, so we wanted to introduce him and ourselves. I’m also interested in finding out if anyone had a temporary charging solution seeing as how I haven’t come across a power outlet anywhere yet. [ Tadashi holds up the power cord on Baymax’s charging station for anyone who hasn’t seen anything like it before. ]

Yeah, I’m not sure if the technology here is necessarily compatible—at least, not without some adapting or figuring on our part. Baymax is the priority. Even if it would be cool to actually use my handheld, it won’t die on me eventually. Tadashi and I were both pretty good with tech back home, but this might take some adjusting.

[ Hiro says, a puff of air from his sigh shifting his mess of bangs before he raises his hands in reassuring Baymax that he was fine given the robot approaches and wants to check him over. ]

On a scale of one-to-ten…

[ Tadashi chuckles as he moves to end the video recording for the post while Baymax tends to Hiro. ]

Oh, those. Right. But yeah! Baymax is a friend. Tadashi made him.

[Hiro isn't sure how much more to say. Given things were complicated regarding how much he has yet to tell Tadashi about what happened back home. So he's trying to keep things a bit quieter for the time being, at least.]

[Ventus tilts his head.]

So, what else can Baymax do?

[baymaxing]

He lifts a lot, and he's stronger than he looks. He knows a lot of medical stuff. He can scan people to take their vitals or whatever. He can deflate to fit into smaller spaces. He's a healthcare companion, so that's kind of his thing. His specialty includes downloading information on people or anything he thinks might help them. Tadashi can blab on about specifics.

[Hiro knows way more than that. Of course. But at this point, he hasn't admitted to Tadashi that he recreated the big guy. He keeps it at that. For now. He doesn't go into the added programming he included with his upgrades.]

...Download information on people?

[Huh.

For some reason, that's the main thing that sticks out to Ventus.]

Does he just have to look at someone to download information?

[baymaxing]

Yup. He has this scanner that can see someone's vitals, including their medical information, age, height, weight, allergies, or whatever. But if you don't want him to scan you, just let us know.

[Baymax did scan everyone in the city back home, but that was mostly just to cut down on options in figuring just who the guy in the Yokai mask was and where he was. It was not malicious intent or anything with all that information on people.]

I don't mind. I'm curious how it'd work.

[He's never had a proper check up before, so it does spark his interest more.]

The scanning? It's pretty quick. Simple. Baymax needs to activate the scanner in his head, which will tell him about you. It won't hurt if that's what you're worried about. He looks at you and does it. He won't need to touch you or anything.

[He knows some people can be slightly nervous or anxious about medical stuff. So he figures to reassure Ven just in case. Baymax won't touch Ven unless the other lets him after scanning the other teen.]

[A little bit of a head tilt.]

I don't mind a check up in the future then if that's how it works.

[As long as needles aren't involved.]

[baymaxing]

I can figure that out, or Tadashi can. It is easy enough if you just come by and see Baymax. We're trying to keep him from being active all the time for now until we figure out a way to keep him charged, but we can let you know.

[No. Baymax shouldn't need any needles involved. Not unless Ven agrees to that and if he needed them for a vaccine or some such.]

[He nods slowly.]

Does he just need electricity to be charged?

[Ventus doesn't mind offering using some thunder magic if that's the case.]

[baymaxing]

Yeah. We charge him through the electricity with the power points at the wall back home.

[Hiro shows Ventus the plug, unsure if the other might be familiar with that sort of thing or not back home. People seem to be from all over, all kinds of different worlds and times so it isn't something he can just assume the same way he would be able to back home that most everyone would be familiar with charging something like that.]

[Ventus is somewhat familiar with the plug.

He cups his chin in thought.]

I...don't know if there are any around here, but I don't mind using my lightning magic to help keep him charged if you guys need it.

[baymaxing]

Lightning magic? I guess if we needed it in a pinch, it might help. But Tadashi and I will need to figure out some alterations to make him work here. I can let you know if we need help in the meantime.

[Because Hiro does at least appreciate the offer. He's just not sure how well that might go down. And doesn't want to risk potentially having lightning magic be too much and overload Baymax or something unless they really have to resort to something like that.]

[He nods at that.]

Just give me a call then if you do.

[...He...gets it. Don't want to accidentally fry poor Baymax.]

I will. Thanks for the offer, Ven.

[He appreciates that. Whether or not they go through with it. It's an option.]

[He gives him a thumbs up.]
