Two nerds and their robot
Type: Video
Sender ID: peopleneedyou (Tadashi Hamada) featuring; Hiro Hamada (baymaxing) & Baymax
To: Everyone
Subject: Meet the Hamadas and Baymax
Warnings: None
[ The video post starts up to reveal the faces of the Hamada brothers, along with what looks like a red suitcase beside Hiro. Their location isn’t anything special, just somewhere inland on Elrut right now, but the elder brother is smiling anyway. ]
Hello everyone, I’m Tadashi Hamada and this is my younger brother…
[ Tadashi motions to Hiro. The younger brother waves, smiling, and turns his gaze from Tadashi to the phone. ]
I’m Hiro! And this… [He gestures to the suitcase next to him before purposely pulling off a plaster from his knee. His ‘ow’ in instinctive response activates the robot inside, causing Baymax to inflate and turn on, introducing himself with a wave. ]
Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I was alerted to the need for medical attention when you said ‘ow’.
You’ll be seeing Baymax around one or both of us often, so we wanted to introduce him and ourselves. I’m also interested in finding out if anyone had a temporary charging solution seeing as how I haven’t come across a power outlet anywhere yet. [ Tadashi holds up the power cord on Baymax’s charging station for anyone who hasn’t seen anything like it before. ]
Yeah, I’m not sure if the technology here is necessarily compatible—at least, not without some adapting or figuring on our part. Baymax is the priority. Even if it would be cool to actually use my handheld, it won’t die on me eventually. Tadashi and I were both pretty good with tech back home, but this might take some adjusting.
[ Hiro says, a puff of air from his sigh shifting his mess of bangs before he raises his hands in reassuring Baymax that he was fine given the robot approaches and wants to check him over. ]
On a scale of one-to-ten…
[ Tadashi chuckles as he moves to end the video recording for the post while Baymax tends to Hiro. ]

how did I miss this while doing tags the other day?
Tadashi is glad that many people seem interested in Baymax, even those whose main interests might lay somewhere else. ]
As much as I could possibly squeeze in.
Yeah, and I have had a few people offer their help. Truthfully, given a bit of time, Hiro and I could come up with something after studying magitech, but I'm hoping that Baymax can really help out around here sooner rather than later.
you're good, i've been scarce with tags myself so it's all good!
That's not a bad idea. People'll need medical assistance after a really bad event strikes. [Like when that storm wreaked havoc in Eltrut a while back. People were injured and hurt trying to evacuate and save each other.] Think you'll be able to get him to cure stuff from this world eventually?
[They're all from different universes after all. Ranma still remembers when he first got here, there was that sleeping curse spreading around. If anything like that pops up again, something inorganic that can't be afflicted with it would be a boon.]
life should stop beating us up
Exactly what I was thinking, while also tending to some regular patients. [ He hasn't had an event with a lot of injuries like that, but he has heard about them. ] Like magical injuries? I'm not sure. That will require more research or someone who has better knowledge of magical injuries and curses.
[ Scientifically, there could be many ways to solve a problem or even disease. Many medications and treatments. Curses could have one specific solution. One that Baymax would be learning alongside everyone else. ]
it really should T^T;;
Hm... There's an idea that's scratching at his brain. Might be a bit of a reach, but he's willing to try just about anything. If it doesn't work, oh well.]
Would someone with a curse be a good guinea pig to test for research?

We do have to start somewhere, and we'd get a lot further with someone who has a curse versus someone who doesn't.
--> private
With a smidge of hesitation, Ranma switches over to private.]
I've got a curse. It isn't from anything in this world, but any otherworldly curse's better than not having any to use as a starting point.
[It isn't often he goes around telling strangers, but if this could help him and potential others in the future, where's the harm in offering himself up? Long as Tadashi isn't gonna make his walking marshmallow robot cut him open and all that junk.]

Would you like Baymax to scan you? Your information would be private between him and you. Unless you wanted to sign paperwork allowing me access to also study the files. Not that I'm a doctor.
[ An offer and a clarification that Tadashi doesn't have a medical license. ]
no subject
Sure, if you think it's necessary. Just know if I see anything funny in the papers or if this end up with me on a metal slab for dissection, I will punch you.
[He's joking. Maybe. He said that in a pretty lax tone, so...]
Where are you right now?
no subject
An eyebrow raises. Either Ranma has an active imagination, or these things have happened before. ]
Scanning is how he gathers your biological information. Neither of those things will happen.
[ Regardless of what the curse is, Tadashi highly doubts surgery will cure it. ]
Eltrut. [ Insert some shop. ]

Okay, cool.
[Satisfied enough with that answer, Ranma headed out the door. And by the door, I mean the open window. Quicker that way. He's sitting on the sill by the time he looks down at the camera.]
I'll be there sooner or later.
[Sooner it seems, given he's at the location in about two to three minutes. Ranma's lived here long enough to memorize the layout and establishments, and even if he didn't, he just has to look for the big blow-up robot man.]

Hey, over here.
[ Like the bot isn't a dead giveaway of their location. ]
