Two nerds and their robot
Type: Video
Sender ID: peopleneedyou (Tadashi Hamada) featuring; Hiro Hamada (baymaxing) & Baymax
To: Everyone
Subject: Meet the Hamadas and Baymax
Warnings: None
[ The video post starts up to reveal the faces of the Hamada brothers, along with what looks like a red suitcase beside Hiro. Their location isn’t anything special, just somewhere inland on Elrut right now, but the elder brother is smiling anyway. ]
Hello everyone, I’m Tadashi Hamada and this is my younger brother…
[ Tadashi motions to Hiro. The younger brother waves, smiling, and turns his gaze from Tadashi to the phone. ]
I’m Hiro! And this… [He gestures to the suitcase next to him before purposely pulling off a plaster from his knee. His ‘ow’ in instinctive response activates the robot inside, causing Baymax to inflate and turn on, introducing himself with a wave. ]
Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I was alerted to the need for medical attention when you said ‘ow’.
You’ll be seeing Baymax around one or both of us often, so we wanted to introduce him and ourselves. I’m also interested in finding out if anyone had a temporary charging solution seeing as how I haven’t come across a power outlet anywhere yet. [ Tadashi holds up the power cord on Baymax’s charging station for anyone who hasn’t seen anything like it before. ]
Yeah, I’m not sure if the technology here is necessarily compatible—at least, not without some adapting or figuring on our part. Baymax is the priority. Even if it would be cool to actually use my handheld, it won’t die on me eventually. Tadashi and I were both pretty good with tech back home, but this might take some adjusting.
[ Hiro says, a puff of air from his sigh shifting his mess of bangs before he raises his hands in reassuring Baymax that he was fine given the robot approaches and wants to check him over. ]
On a scale of one-to-ten…
[ Tadashi chuckles as he moves to end the video recording for the post while Baymax tends to Hiro. ]

[With or without strange abilities akin to magic.
His head tipped to one side, just briefly, before there was a nod- looking off camera as if searching for something he might have out—]
I do believe you have it, yes. I figured that it was a decent path to take, as while solar power is certainly efficient it was easier to adapt a crystal powered battery to recharge by ambient magical energy.

[But the main point is there. The other is probably aware of that from creatures back home, alongside these Pokemon. Likely some of them were also the same, some being friendlier than others. Still, Hiro nods, a hand to his chin as he considers and agrees.]
Yeah. I can see why you went that route here at least.

Others may charge and attack, especially if they have something to protect- though I do have to admit some wild pokémon attack in order to test a person, to see if perhaps they are strong enough to become a loyal companion or not. Common behavior.
[Very, very common behavior. Still, there were some that behaved the same as simple animals while others held more human intelligence; or toddler level, at least.]
Indeed. A reason I believe it may be the best way to go for your friend Baymax here.

[Hiro says, shrugging and feeling that pang of ache in missing Mochi. The hijinks he got up to as a kid tormenting that poor cat, dressing Mochi up, using the cat as a guinea pig for trying out the rocket boots he had made....]
We'll think about it. Look into alternatives. Ideally, we wouldn't want to have to change things too much. Else it might be a pain once we get back home.

[Something he held memories but- well. There was only so far someone could go on a memory that was beyond their own senses to experience.
Nodding then.]
Something more in an adaption than full change, one easy to revert back. Little would need to be done to his systems, and I would be happy to show how it is done if it is the way the two of you do decide.
no subject
[Obviously that isn't quite the same. It still sounds interesting, and exciting to be the first to discover something though.]
If it's easy to revert, that's a plus. We'll see what we figure out between what's available here and who is offering help. But thanks. We'll keep it in mind and be in touch.

[...likely why the Professor had been able to bury so deeply and go so long without contact that so few seemed to worry. Or reach out.
Really, better not to think about at the moment.]
I am easy to get a hold of either way.
no subject
[Hiro shrugs, but he does nod at the other saying he was easy to get hold of. They know how to contact each other with these shellphone things. So this isn't too difficult. Once they figure things out and what they want and need to do for Baymax.]
Yeah. Right. Same.

[He did nod a bit, that smile still remaining-]
Do not forget you may do so, even if it is perhaps to see Miraidon again.
no subject
[So, Hiro likes that. And hopefully, that would mean others there wouldn't be bullied just because they were younger like he was. He hopes so, at least.]
I'll come by to see Miraidon again. And show you Baymax. We can figure this together.
no subject
The real division is based upon battling skill levels, and even those mix during free times.
[Any who wanted to learn, no matter their age, were allowed to. Of course those far younger were taken care of if staying on school grounds, last he could recall—]
I would be honored to meet Baymax and help however able, and I am sure I am not alone in looking forward to seeing you. Miraidon may not show it- or hide it as easily as they may think.
no subject
[Does he have to go? Technically he is still a minor and all. But he's also aware his situation is kind of unique in being fourteen and being accepted to university back home, four years ahead of most his age. He does smile at the other looking forward to meeting Baymax proper, and Miraidon.]
Miraidon liked me, huh? I guess I just petted them the same way I would with Mochi. Instinct.
no subject
[Things seemed much different here, and education something the Paladins and those with the means to have that much money to spare did more for the fact they could than anything else. Hm. Perhaps a bit of that was something he could offer in his own spare time.
After speaking with Dojima after all; better to ensure he wasn't taking too much on his plate simply because he could.]
Indeed, but better not to let Miraidon know I told you. While better these days, they have something still of an ego- still, Miraidon has grown to enjoy the attention.
no subject
[Hiro chuckles at that. At the least, he doesn't need to deal with that with Baymax. The robot has no ego to be able to preen and get fond of all the attention he gets.]
I bet. Most here wouldn't be familiar with creatures like them. Of course people are going to be curious.

[The most difficult, and potentially dangerous parts was refining and shaping them to work with whatever was wanted. Perhaps part of why he worked so hard to produce quality; he could withstand the risk.
Turo still couldn't help the chuckle.]
Each of them are wonderous, and I am rather proud of how they have adjusted to this world. Miraidon's own time has done quite well to help feel secure, so the territorial behavior has lessened a great deal.
A reason I trust having Miraidon with me for certain errands, for example.
no subject
[Hiro gives a shrug, but he does smile at Miraidon showing progress.]
Yeah, Baymax is gonna have a lot to learn about this place and everyone here. Once we figure sorting his charging situation, we'll probably keep him active out and about with us most of the time. But I guess that's good. I wouldn't have figured there might be as much territorial behaviour if they were the only Pokemon around.
