This last moon or so I've been speaking to several people about magic and the ability to use magic. Now I understand we all come from varying stars - worlds, realms, whichever you prefer - and the laws governing such arts may differ.

Thus I find myself curious about how others are able to cast their spells. I certainly wouldn't mind an exchange of knowledge on the topic. In fact, I've already offered to conduct some lessons to some individuals here as an experiment, of sorts. I, myself, am no great mage but I am capable enough, I should hope.

My point still stands regardless. What do you think the term "dominant" may mean?

Though I am not unfamiliar with what you speak of. It was your star's particular plight that I have been pondering the last moon.

I know the meaning of Dominant. One who controls. That doesn't mean I'm actually seen as such by the populace. For years, I was seen as a sin, inhuman, a monster. [That last word has her pausing, breathing deeply because no matter how long it's been, that term still gets to her.] Something to be used and then thrown away when no longer needed.

Think about it. One who controls. Shiva requires you, not the other way around. Thus it is by your will that her power is made manifest, not the other way around.

What strikes me as odd is the fact that you use your own aether to cast magic. This puts a burden on the body. Using ambient aether instead should offset that.

Our options are few. If you are not born with the ability to use magick, you need to use a shard of the Mothercrystals to do so. But with that comes a limited stock, so those who are, Bearers and Dominants, are made to use what we naturally have. As you said, this indeed puts a burden on the body, ultimately fatally, but as I said, people think so little of us that we end up disposable. Once the curse takes you, they'll find someone else to replace you.

[A pause and then:]

There is not here. Hence why I would like, very much, to offer what knowledge I have.
