So, I've noticed that there's some decorations that remind me of Halloween back home. Now, I only recently got here so I'm not sure but. I figured I should check what holidays, and other celebrations there are here. Just to try to be prepared?

Feel free to tell me about other celebrations back from your home too, I guess. Just curious.

I guess places might have their own sort of version that might be at least similar or something. Yeah.

I'm just assuming this place probably has it's calendar and stuff but I figured to check about others. Could be interesting, could celebrate ourselves. Like this setsubun. Back home there's Lunar New Year which I guess is similar in being at a different time of year than the 31st Dec/1st of Jan. Usually around February or so.

oh yeah that sounds like setsubun to me! usually its around the beginning of february now and most people tend to do things like throw beans around their homes to chase off evil spirits.

Less sure on the beans but yeah. The timing sounds about right. Each year usually celebrates a different animal. I think it's a bigger thing around Asia but we celebrate in America too.
