A curious question to my fellow riftfarers — to those who are capable of "summoning" or calling upon powerful beings or even people, how does it work in your world? Any particular requirements? Contracts?

And have you any luck doing so while here? Any changes you've discovered?

[This is a general broadcast type post, so anyone can threadhop if they'd like to swap stories or anything! Cid will be reading everything...with very keen interest.]

In case you're wondering what this is about, while on that ghost ship a girl somehow managed to summon me from a rock she had—materia she called it. She also knew about Ramuh and some of the other Eikons from our world.

Given there was no warning and that she might not be the only one, thought I should give everyone a heads up. For now I'll be trying some tests with her to see how it works and will share the results.

Summon you? How the hell is that even possible?

Our abilities lack a fraction of what they were in our own world. How is a rock to know the Eikons we possess?

That's what we're trying to figure out, but it might have something to do with the similarities between our Eikons and theirs.

She is capable of summoning a version of Ramuh of her world. And from the description, sounds eerily similar to the one from ours.

this doesn’t sound like something that should be tested with. You should just throw the damned things away.

Not exactly up to me, though it would make things easier.

For what it's worth, the only thing "forced" about this is being sent to their location. I could have just left.

It may sound harmless, but that is still against our will.

Should those stones end up in someone else's hands, there's no telling where we may end up.

Fair enough, and something I considered.

And why I also tried to keep things a bit more...secretive as to who we are, but that cat's out of the bag.

[Dry sighing at everyone outing themselves.]

People would have their suspicions the moment you sent this message. And with more arriving with the power to summon it was only a matter of time.

[ Pissed. He's actually so pissed. ]

Doesn't mean the rest of you had to make yourselves known.

But we'll figure out a solution. In the meantime try to be a little nicer to that starshower girl? It's not as if any of them realized they would be summoning people.

[ HUFF PUFF he's texting but clearly through the delay in his response he's seething quite a bit. ]

Alright. But I've given my warnings.
