Hello everyone! I'm going to be starting up a "Dear Ocean" post. This is where you can reach out to your fellow Riftfairers if you're in need of advice or help, and you can do it Anonymously. Other people can respond to your anon posts to try and help you figure out a tricky situation, or offer up advice on all sorts of things.

If this one goes well, I may do another in the future.

I'll even start us off.

Dear Ocean,

Last month I saw someone that had hurt me, but he didn't stick around. We sort of got to talk a little, but I still feel like we left a lot unresolved. I don't know if I should still be angry and hurt by what he did, or if I should try to accept that he just doesn't understand me, but he was the first person who tried in a very long time.

Ahaha, um... hi, everyone. So um... I meant to text this, but... I guess I have a few questions?

So someone brought up the idea of a restaurant ship, one that'd be open to both sides and serve food from our worlds as well as recipes from this one, and... I kind of like that?

B-but I'm not that good a cook yet, let alone able to run a restaurant! So... anyone interested in being a head chef? And ideas for names? And any recipes you'd like included? Sorry I know this is a lot... and thank you...

A curious question to my fellow riftfarers — to those who are capable of "summoning" or calling upon powerful beings or even people, how does it work in your world? Any particular requirements? Contracts?

And have you any luck doing so while here? Any changes you've discovered?

In case you're wondering what this is about, while on that ghost ship a girl somehow managed to summon me from a rock she had—materia she called it. She also knew about Ramuh and some of the other Eikons from our world.

Given there was no warning and that she might not be the only one, thought I should give everyone a heads up. For now I'll be trying some tests with her to see how it works and will share the results.
