Hello everyone! For those of you I haven't met yet, my name is Azul Ashengrotto. I'm a mage that arrived here about a month or so ago, and I'm happy to announce that I have been able to acquire a workspace that will allow me to provide my unique skills to help any and all unfortunate souls that are in need of assistance here.

[With that, his tone changes to something more business and showmanship like as he begins doing some gestures with his hands, a swirl of a golden glow between his fingers that takes the shape of a quill that he points towards his work table, where several brightly colored vials are now shown to be sitting--]

Are you in need of something that promises clear and smooth skin, or luxurious silky hair? Or something that packs a little more punch in the form of an enchantment to make you physically stronger, capable of lifting twice, or even three times your own weight? Or perhaps something that will allow you to temporarily become a merman capable of swimming within the ocean? I'm more than happy to entertain any and all requests anyone might have here in regards to any wishes you have that you want granted! There are very few things that I am incapable of brewing, enchanting, or crafting a spell or potion for.

As for payment... [There's a pause, before he sighs.] Well, I don't have a proper business location set-up yet like the one I had back home, so any donations that would help contribute to the future of that, or helping me out with a few favors from time to time would be appreciated! I'm still new here, after all... as such, I'm still getting used to life here and would thus be grateful for any help in that regard.

Otherwise, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I'll do my best to answer and provide for any and all of one's needs while we are here.

... But, uh, wow... that's sure a LOT of promises to offer, and all different types, too... you sure you're not not stretching yourself too thin there?

Oh, there's no need for you to worry, Della-san. This is about the same as what I was offering back home as well... granted, I also had my closest associates helping me out with advertising and procuring ingredients, but alas, I'll have to take care of that part myself for now.

[At least until he can hire/contract out people to do those things for him in exchange for his potions...]

Before that, though, was there anything that you've been thinking that you were in need of here that I could assist you with?

Mmm... nah? I mean, it's not that you're not offering great stuff! I've just never been much of a material person. The only kinds of things I'd want are sentimental things from home. Otherwise, I'm all good!

Oh, of course! That's actually a pretty easy solution that I've made before for some people, so it shouldn't be too difficult to make a potion that can accommodate your needs here.

I just need it to be able to get rid of seasickness. I'm willing to pay upfront.

[He's spent a year throwing up the moment he gets off boats. There's only so much of that particular hell he can take.]

Will this concoction of yours be a one time dosage or something that needs to be taken for every trip?

Normally it would be the latter as that's the kind I've made before, but I can certainly look into creating a potion that takes care of it in a more permanent manner if that's what you'd prefer.

In the meantime, however, I can set you up with one that can be taken on trips until I've created the perfect solution that will remove the problem entirely, as I'd rather you have some kind of medicine that can help, even if only temporarily, rather than nothing at all.

[It all depends on what the other man is willing to offer as payment, but Azul isn't just going to come right out and say that...]

If the latter is something you're already experienced in then I can take that. [Even with seasickness cured Alhaitham doesn't plan on taking to the sea much still anyway. It'll never really be his thing.] Let me know how much a batch of them costs. I'm willing to pay so long as the price is reasonable.

[As much as he would like a cure he's also not gonna let himself be ripped off. His experiences with Dori has given him more than enough reason to be cautious around merchants that are so wholeheartedly offering their services.]

[Ah, this person is actually smarter than most of the customers that Azul ends up having. But he's not keen on making enemies too quickly in this place, so he can be amicable about this particular request.]

Of course. Will this be considered a reasonable payment amount?

[Azul proceeds to send a number for what he hopes is a reasonable amount of dubloons as an offer here, enough to cover the cost of the ingredients he needs for making it, and of course a little extra to go towards the future of his business.]

[Said in the tone of a guy who knows damn well why Leona is scoffing here, if the private filter that suddenly goes up now wasn't already an obvious indication.]

[Oh, Leona knows perfectly well why. If he was a Good Samaritan, he’d be warning these people about the consequences of Azul’s business deals. After all, nothing and no one is ever truly that generous.]

That's... rather kind of you to offer, but I don't know what I could possibly offer you in exchange for such generosity...

[Also he does have a living space he managed to rent out above his newly acquired workshop, but he doesn't mention that just yet. He's curious to know what the other man is after by offering such a thing, because surely there must be a very large demand that Kaveh plans on making in exchange for something like this, right?]

[Kaveh laughs a little, and smiles.] But we riftfarers are all in the same boat, aren't we? It's overwhelming. I have the space, so it's really no trouble to help out!

Are you sure that you do not need that space for something else in regards to your own business plans?

It's quite alright. I designed those spaces to be apartments for anyone who needed a place to stay to begin with...they're simply just not really furnished yet. Or...painted.

They may not be lavish, but I'll stake my name as an architect on them being more comfortable than the apartments or bunks the armadas provide us.

[What he's not saying: this is essentially a compromise to keep him from bringing more stray teenagers to their house.]

[True, Azul was not particularly enthusiastic about the armada bunks. It's why he had spent the money needed to add another space to the workshop to consider making as a living space instead, although... if this person is sincere in offering the place above their cafe as one for him, he could always try to turn the space at his workshop into an office instead...

But, regardless of whether or not this person is sincere about wanting to help in this regard, there's still one issue that remains:]

As kind as your offer is, I still insist on there being something that I could do for you in exchange before I would be comfortable accepting such a generous offer.

[Azul may be greedy, but the idea of being indebted to anyone in some manner always rubs him the wrong way. It's why he insists on his deals and contracts to keep things fair, not just for the person buying from him but for his own peace of mind knowing that he's done what has been outlined in the deal and does not owe the other person anything vague outside of the terms.]
