I've heard it customary to lay plans for the future upon the new year. Saying your goals out loud has always helped me to achieve them, so I'm curious to know what goals you have planned for yourself. Be they large or small.

I've nothing grandiose for myself— only to be a better person. A person worthy of friendship, and to continue to help those around me.

[ And after a small pause: ]

—Maybe open a petting zoo, at this rate.

[ Oh. Well. That was a response. And one that Clive can only weakly chuckle at when he recognizes the voice. ]

—I haven't been the kindest person in the past, but I always trying to work on myself. Just a little at a time.

[ He scratched at his cheek, staring a long moment at his screen. There was something burning at the tip of his tongue, but it was better to just let it go. ]

So how's forgiving yourself coming along?

I've accepted that it's apart of me— that's where I've decided to start.

Forgiving may have to take a bit longer.

Yeah that's the hard part, but it looks like you got a good group around you to help with that.

[ Something Reno was also lucky to have had. ]

I can't say I've ever set any kinda new year goals though, it's always been my boss' thing. I'm just here to keep my little circle safe, but that's just between you and me.

[gruffier]

I do... I could not have accomplished half of what I've set to do here if not for those beside me. [ Be it people from his own star of those he's acquired along the way. He thanks The Founder every day for that miracle. ]

Sounds like a goal to me— and a fine one at that. Looks like we both have people here we wish to protect.

[ He huffed and rolled his eyes. ]

Sometimes I can be nice, but it's too bad no one's here to protect them from me.

You should see half the shit I put 'em through on the regular, just for shits and giggles. But that's sort of the point of calling someone a friend.
