TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE

There have been a lot of riftfarers arriving lately. It seems like there have been more arriving than usual. So many different kinds of people from different kinds of worlds with stories to tell and experiences to give.

A little game has appeared on the shellphone network in hopes of getting to know just a little more about these otherworlders. You might find it on your shellphone as you’re scrolling through one day.

Tell the world two truths and one lie about yourself. And let others try and decipher which of the three is your lie. If they can guess right, perhaps you’ve been able to make a new acquaintance. Or in the least learn more about someone from another walk of life.

Whale, whale, whale, looks like it's almost been another whole year. And in three weeks some of us will have been here for two years! It's sun-believable! Feels like I just got here yesterday sometimes. Then I look back on all the stuff I did, the friends I made, the family I found and feels like it's gone by in a flash! Not to get em-ocean-al or anything like that.

Tell me about some of the fin-tastic stuff you've done in your time here. Or the things you wanna do in the future!

I don't have any o-fish-al questions or anything, so just say crab-solutely anything on your mind! Don't get tide down with details.

Let's sea, for me, a lot of good stuff happened - and some kinda bad too.
1. Got to ride a ferris wheel with my newly adopted dad.
2. Painted a mural.
3. I have a family who accepts all of me even after they've seen the worst of me.
4. Sword lessons, gun lessons!

Hm, things I wanna do in the next year.
1. Have a birthday party!

Aight, so me and Checkers are trying to make a skate park over at Hero's Rest and we gonna need some help.

[Beat moves aside to show off the State of the Skate Park. It is obvious that it needs quite a bit of Help. He stands in what looks to be the middle of a repurposed amphitheater. The only things that have been set up is a ramp and a grind rail from the stairs that are already part of the original architecture.]

It ain't much right now, but we got a lotta plans.

[Setting aside the shellphone, he rummages through his sketchbook, eventually flipping to a page with said plans. He holds it up to reveal a very rough drawing of his and Roxas' dream skate park for all to see.]

We thinkin' 'bout puttin' up a half-pipe somewhere 'round here— [He starts moving around, pointing out to a space each time. Boy, does he look excited about it, grinning from ear to ear. Very much like a kid in a candy store.] —coupla pyramids somewhere in the middle, an' a buncha rails and ramps all 'round. Yo, Checkers! Am I missin' anythin'?

[Roxas can be seen in the background, cleaning up part of the amphitheater that they hadn't gotten to. He turns to Beat.]

Maybe a bowl somewhere?

Nah, you's right. Gotta add that to the plan. [Then Beat turns back to the shellphone.] That too. Anyways, it's gonna be a lotta work, so if can help us out, we gonna owe you big time, yo! Jus' name your price!

[ooc: Beat is red and Roxas is blue. Either one of them or both will be answering replies!]

Ladies, please, control yourselves! I actually have something to share besides my drip new threads... that's, uh, what the kids say right? Right. Sure.

A-hem. With the Mostro Lounge open, y'know what else is open? Our official GAME CLUB! Anyone and everyone can come in and play during the lounge's hours! Right now we've got a few basic board games - Monopoly, Risk, Scrabble, The Game Of Life... well, this world's versions of them anyway. But if you want to expand that area, bring your own games! We'll take whatever you've got! Make new friends and kick their butts!

Once we've got a good selection up and running, we also plan to host tournaments! Do you think you have what it takes to be the King of Games? Better practice now - just because Double A and I are running things doesn't mean we'll go easy on you if you challenge us.

Hope to see you there soon, and just remember - the real winners are the ones who have the most fun.

((OOC: Just to repeat from the CR workshop - No CR necessary needed for any character to join in. To make things easier on everyone, the majority of Game Club stuff will be handwaved! Think of it as an easy way to have instant CR from here on out. Naturally, if you WANT to thread out playing games with people, obviously you can! But basically you're allowed to say "[X], [Y] and [Z] played Escordvi's version of Monopoly, tears were shed, a board was flipped" once a month.

Feel free to use this post as an action log if you'd like to play games/handwave having played them with folks! Also feel free to shoot me any crit/questions you've got! ))

[ Emet-Selch looks a little harried and stressed today when the video feed begins. There is a little axolotl clinging to a front lock of his hair, gently chewing. He either doesn't notice or doesn't care as there is urgency to his gaze and tone. ]

Should anyone encounter a pair of ambystomae - I mean, axolotls - with a carnivorous tendency, please abstain from killing them immediately and inform me of their location. I need to return their child to them.

[ This won't stop anyone killing the many axolotls involved in the search but he has to hope he finds the parents before they're accidentally killed. ]

Couple things I've been wondering about, lately. Figured now that the brand crap has settled down a bit, it's as good a time as any to ask. - Any word on where the Paladin Leviathan went? Lost track of that discussion with all the under water adventures. - Has anyone heard anything about any Riftfarers ever getting promoted in their respective Armadas? We know they have superiors, a council each - Paladins especially have a military type structure, from what I've seen. But has anyone ever been an officer? Or whatever passes for it in the Corsairs?

[It just seems weird, okay.]

[He almost starts typing "Looking for experience with getting a house" but deletes it. That's too forward, probably.]

All this backstabbing and lying about these damn whales is really pissing me off! So if you're the one causing all this mess, you better fess up! Do it or I'm comin' for you myself!

[ He puffs out a sigh before leaning away from the shellphone, still scowling. ]

You better not be holdin' out on any information about those stupid crystals, either. I'm gunna find the guys who did this, with or without anyone's help! So if you're thinking about doin' the same you better not slow me down.

[ There's a low grumble that follows... but is that from him or his stomach? Inuyasha groans, muttering something low yet audible under his breath: ]

[After some recent... events that's transpired in the past couple months, events that left people he likes critically injured, it put a lot of things in perspective. Soul searching and all that junk. It... wasn't a new thought that popped up for the first time in this world, he's sat on it from time to time back home. But there, it didn't seem like there was constant events that'd set him off bad enough to maim his friends. Yet these past few months, he's kept falling into the Neko-ken state more and more, kept having his ailurophobia pushed to the tipping point. The cat island, the ghost cats, and now the black ooze of despair.

"Prevention is an important aspect, but I fear it may not be enough on its own.". Sherlock's words have been haunting his mind more recently from their talk of contingency plans. It staked his pride like a dagger to the heart. Control was something he should have, and he thought he had it all in check. For all his discipline, he can't get over being a scaredy-cat without losing his sanity.

He doesn't like considering this a viable option. Pop went out of his way to make sure he's adverse to showing weakness. This was something he should do though, before he goes above just clawing up people like fleshy scratch posts.]

Heya, I need some advice. For a friend. [... Look, you've gotta take baby steps sometimes when you're learning to walk.]

How do you get over a fear you've had since you were a kid?
