[The device turns on, a curious reindeer with a blue nose being rather close to it.] Is it working? It's on now?

[And then he notices it seems to be working and tries to hide. Only to still have about two-thirds of himself still visible anyway. He is still not quite grasping that concept of cover, and hiding meaning he can't just keep peeking out like that.

Still, after a bit, he returns to the device, picking it up and tilting his head, his ears shifting as he inspects it again.]

Hello? Um....I'm Chopper. Tony Tony Chopper. I was wondering if there are any of the other Straw Hats here. If not, I guess I'll figure it out myself. But um. I'm a doctor. So, if anyone gets hurt or sick, I can try to help. I just got here so I'm still figuring this place out. But I'm sure I can manage! It's a whole new world to explore! A whole new map to discover! And lots more delicious food, like cotton candy!

[Right? He's got this. Totally got this. He isn't actually absolutely terrified at being here alone at all. And wasn't just bawling his eyes out upon finding himself initially without familiar faces. It's not like this sort of reminds him of being left alone on the Merry to look after it while the rest of the crew went off to find their precious gold.]

Okay, um, this isn't like the phones back home, I guess I just push this....?

[Cue a teeny hoof pushing the button to hang up. Look at him figuring this out!]

Me? No. I'm not a devil. That's just what the fruit I ate is called. I ate the Human-Human Fruit. So it's made me more like a human. Other Devil Fruits have given people different powers, like looking like someone else, their body being like rubber that it can stretch, or all sorts of different abilities. But anyone who eats one can't swim after that.

[Which makes being on a ship obviously have some downsides in needing to be careful to not go overboard.]

Yeah? Okay! I'll give it a try! You don't have to do that, though.

[Cue the absolutely bewildered look on his face as he tries to process all this at once, shaking his head as a hand runs through his hair scratching the back of his head confusedly.]

So lemme get this straight you ate some sort of weird fruit that let you become like a human and there are others that give you super powers or something like that?! Also...what is with the no swimming deal that's kinda crappy in a place like this.

[He waves the other off insistently as a big grin forms over his lips again shaking his head in protest.]

Uh-huh. There's different kinds of Devil Fruits. Each one gives a different ability, I guess? But that's the basic idea, yes. I just hope that others I meet with here will be able to swim and help if I do go overboard.

[There is that downside. That danger. Still, he does sound rather curious about what sort of food there is around here, if only so he can maybe tell Sanji all about it. Or at least discover delicious new things like cotton candy.]

That sounds cool as shit!! Are there ones that can make you breathe fire or make hot girls attracted to you too!? And don't worry I know how to swim alright after this girl taught me not too long ago back home so I can probably save ya if you fall into the water no biggie there.

[Because of course Denji would eat one of these Devil Fruits if he could attain such a wicked power as being able to seduce attractive girls with the drop of a hat or in this case chowing down to the pit of a fruit.]

Hell yeah!! We got the best grub in the whole world at the Seventh Heaven with the most badass crew too!! Maybe I can introduce ya to some of them when you swing by.

All sorts of different powers. One of my friends, his body is like rubber. Others can change their appearance to look like someone else or slow people down or all sorts. I'm....not sure on the girls. But, that's good that you can swim!

[The girls. That sounds like something Sanji would be keen on. Still, he tries to focus on what the other says. About this Seventh Heaven.]

Our ships usually docked up in Eltrut but I got this magical ring that can take me there wherever it is so no biggie all you gotta do is take my hand and boom we're there! Best purchase I've ever made here besides any of the grub but that's just a no brainer.

[Of course that is what Chopper focuses on. Because he is sure Nami would love something like that. With her navigational skills and all. It would make traveling a lot quicker to get to where they want to go. He supposes it would mean they might miss out on some adventures along the way, though.]

Right!? It's a lot better than being stuck on a boat all the time taking forever to get back from Eltrut to Nogard that's for damn sure!

Yeah! Traveling with something like that must be way quicker and easier!

[Chopper can't help being impressed. And maybe a little excited to hear about such inventions. If only he could share that with his crew. Hopefully he would find more of them here. At least, as time goes on more might show up.]

The Straw Hats are my crew! Luffy's the captain, and there's Sanji, Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Robin and Franky too. But people don't seem to have seen them around here.

[So far. And they are hardly the most subtle. So. Chopper has to assume they would show up later? Maybe?]

[Simply shrugging raising his upturned palms to the skies Denji purses his lips.]

Nope never heard of them...Sorry dude. But hey they could show up anytime so I wouldn't give up hope!

[He sure hadn't given up his quest to revive his best friend from beyond the grave that he's been so tirelessly toiling to attain.]

I showed up. So maybe they will too. I just gotta be patient.

....There isn't some way to figure who shows up or not?

Yeah I guess so! Never know who's gonna show up or leave. I had a friend here for a couple weeks then she left so it's pretty random.

[Shrugging his shoulders with a shake of his head, Denji cannot definitively answer that question.]

No idea. Maybe the MANTA center but I kinda doubt it.

A couple of weeks? That's barely any time at all.

Yeah...It sucked super bad but what can ya do? People come and go all the time I even got sent back home but was brought back here after about a week or so! But it was way longer than that for me.

[Shrugging his shoulders Denji tries to be a bit optimistic for Tony's sake.]

[He wasn't completely alone. But it still kind of feels like it, without any familiar faces and all. Chopper isn't used to being completely on his own without the others, without any of the crew around along with him. Even when they might separate at times.]

I feel that...I've been the only one from my world for a long ass time besides Power being here for that short time. I've even been trying to bring my friend back from the dead so he can chill with me here!

[Denji trying the near impossible and right his own wrongs killing his mentor and older brother figure even if he had no other choice, saving innocent lives that would have been murdered unjustly in Aki's bloodlust addled mind with his body taken over by the Gun Devil.]

[Chopper is aware of people showing up from different places. Sure. But not necessarily different times that people could come back from the dead? He's still figuring out about this place yet and how it all works. But he certainly isn't expecting something like that.]

Been trying my damn best but nothing has worked so far...Doesn't mean I'm gonna give up though one way or another I'll bring my friend back from the dead because he deserves to live!

[A brief pause as a solemn sigh escapes his parted lips slumping into an oversized chair in his apartment looking towards the ceiling thoughtfully.]

I didn't wanna kill him but had no choice...Aki was gonna murder a bunch of people who did nothing wrong and it wasn't really him anyways! The Gun Devil took over his body so I kinda did him a favor.

[Yeah that might have been a lot to divulge all at once to basically a complete stranger but subtly wasn't in Denji's vocabulary.]

Oh....I see. I'm not sure if I know of anything that could bring someone back from being dead. I can do surgery and use medicine and all, but I can't do that. Unless there is something here that could do it. I only recently got here, so I can't be sure if that might be the case, and I don't know yet.

[Which is entirely possible. Chopper is very new here yet. So of course, there are still some things he is still learning and navigating. At the least, he gathers that this is a complicated situation where the other did something to try and protect others and stop his friend hurting more people.]

They say there are these things called 'relics' that are super powerful and could maybe do the trick but I haven't found jack shit that will work yet.

[As for the use of surgery or medicine, Denji simply shrugs his shoulders at that pointing a thumb to his chest with a cocky grin.]

Who needs surgery and all that kinda crap when all I gotta do is drink some blood or eat some flesh and it will fix me right up! No big deal!

I did hear something about the relics or some sort of treasure....

[Chopper pauses at that. This is.....somehow worse than dealing with the likes of Zoro....oh no.....]

Totally get it. I'm still on ARR post credits content myself but am starting to play it myself.

Ohhh nice!! I hope you enjoy the storyline!! ARR can be a bit sluggish but Heavensward is SO GOOD!
