My usual method for acquiring nourishment... {i.e. eating.} ...is not possible. I do not have a palate for human food nor does it do me any good. I can survive for some time without sustenance, but not forever.

The megafauna here...they're large and possessed with quite a bit of vitality. But I don't know if it would meet your particular dietary requirements.

Not being able to eat does seem like a huge problem. Can you tell me more about it? Does it have to be demons? What is this 'energy'? Is it like magic? Could it possibly be substituted for any creature with magic? Or is it magic you need?

You take nourishment from what you eat, breaking it down within your body and retaining the useful parts. I am the same with demonic energy. Each battle, I am able to strengthen myself on my foes.

Humans have souls. Demons are generally simpler creatures. Their energy is the equivalent of their soul.

I don't know if it would work but I have a spell that can summon a special feast through magic. Its different from mundane food and is meant to bolster you before a hard fight. Since its produced with magic... it might be like your soul energy?

I will say that I cannot control the amount of food I summon. But what ever doesn't get eaten dissipates after a while so no harm done. Is this an emergency situation where you need it now?

I'm afraid I wouldn't know if there are any demons here that would be considered okay to hunt for such a thing... have you experimented before with any magical means that might be able to help you in this case? Like say, using alchemy to brew a potion that would be able to work as a substitute for demon energy to satiate your hunger?

Depending on the ingredients used, or even from studying your own essence as a demon--as I am making the assumption that is what you are and have to feed off of other demons, and if I am wrong, please correct me--there may be a method to create or at least simulate the same kind of energy as a source of nutrition, much like how people on diets manage to find substitutions for acquiring the energy they need without resorting to eating the food that they are supposed to be refraining from for that diet.

[Like the kind of potions he has for himself to maintain a human form, which also helps make it easier to consume and digest some meals that normally don't exist in the ocean...]

Demonic energy is akin to my energy, so it is simple for me to use. Monsters might be like me or they might not.

I have tried on lesser monsters. It might be that the more powerful ones sustain me.

I am not a ghoul nor am I undead. Those filthy creatures are nothing like me.
