[ The video feed comes on to show Nimona, who some people may have noticed was missing for about three days. She looks fine and is smiling, and it looks to be a genuine one. ]

Wow wow wow. Going home is soooooo weird. Like I'd heard people forget all about this place, but experiencing it myself is a whole different thing. One minute I was here, and the next I'd forgotten a whole year and some change of my life.

[ Nimona flops back on a giant manta ray plushie. ]

It was a real wild ride being there. First I turned into a giant shadow dragon, again, and I get saved. Then this crazy lady turned a huge laser cannon on the center of the kingdom just to kill li'l ol' me. [ Cue the innocent expression. ] She was gonna kill so many people just to take me out.

[ She flips over on to her stomach, bringing her shellphone with her to set down. ]

Joke's on her! I turned into a huge fiery bird, flew across the kingdom and BAAAAM! [ Nimona makes one hand fly and smash against her other hand in a loud slap. ] Slammed into the fully charged cannon with my whole body and BOOOOOOOM! [ Both hands fly apart to mimic an explosion, complete with sound effects. ] We exploded! It was epic! She died, I died, and I don't think anyone else died.

[ Nimona jumps up onto her feet, raising a fist above her head in a victory pose. ]

Then I rose like a phoenix from the ashes! Now I'm back here.

[ She picks up the phone again to bring it close to her face. ]

And that's the story!

Huh? Why wouldn't I be- [ It seems to click. ]

Oooooh. [ Then waves a hand like it's no big deal. ] What's a little death? I came right back! Or maybe it took a bit, ah well, hard to say when you're dead.

Death is...usually pretty permanent for most people? And it still probably hurts, even if it isn't...I'm sorry that happened to you.

[LIKE. ARE YOU OKAY MADAM??? PSYCHOLOGICALLY????]

I'm not people. [ ???? ] I mean, it barely hurt. It was over pretty fast. Honestly, the knights shooting me hurt more than dying did.

[ Does she not... seem fine? ]

What do you mean you're not people? [NIMONA?] You got shot?

Well, you take the definition of "people" and say "That's not Nimona". I'm not human, there's no being like me, I'm not a man, woman, child, or whatever. So... I'm not people. [ That's the answer. ]

That's just what people do where I'm from. They see a big dragon walking through their kingdom, get scared, and shoot it.

[NIMONA HE'S GONNA CRY.]

But I'm not human and there's nobody else like me so... I'm just Nimona.

[ She crosses her arms over her chest, looking like she's going to fight this. ]

And you still got hurt?

[That is the important part!!!

He exhales and just. drags his hands down his face.] How long were you even back?

Being different doesn't mean you get accepted. Of course I got hurt. People have been scared of me for a thousand years.

[ She is older than she looks.

A shrug. ] Turning into a giant shadow dragon and crossing the city was pretty instant. Dropped right into that and then BAAAAM! BOOOOOOOM! But it's hard to tell how much time is passing when you're dead.

A thousand years...[He looks a little thoughtful. And a lottle sad. To Kaveh, Nimona sounds like an adepti, or one of the old gods...but mostly, the story sounds terribly lonely.]

...I suppose no one would really time that for you. It's a lot more...dramatic than it was for us.

It's no biggie. Maybe I was alive before that, too, and just don't remember it. [ She doesn't need to talk about how lonely it was. ]

Maybe Ballister did, but I didn't really get to talk to him before being brought back here. It was like "Hey boss, I'm not dead anymore, kay bye!"
