['Two minutes' was generous. Nico popped out of a shadow in front of the coffee shop.]

[And here the poor boy was. The moment he stood in front of the coffee shop, he was waiting to see who this mysterious person was. Although, the moment he saw a random person popping out of said shadow?]

Ah...I'm sorry, are you the person I'm supposed to meet?

[He certainly does have dark hair and black clothing to match the dark shadows...]

[Nico looks over at the blond in the blue hat. Okay. He didn't mention he was cute.

Nico gave himself a mental slap. Now was not the time.]

Yeah. I'm Nico. [He offers a hand to shake.]

[As he took his hand to shake, he quickly looked downward. Even though he was already used to meeting new people, it was something he could never get used to.]

It's nice to meet you Mr. Nico, I'm Freminet and I hope we can get along.

[He said before looking down at his Cyro vision.]

...I'm not really sure what else to say to be honest.

Just Nico's fine. And I hope so, too.

[Nico fidgeted because he didn't know what else to say, either. He was still getting used to talking to people after avoiding them as much as possible and then getting a kick out of being as edgy as possible to creep them out.]

So um... this vision thing?

Oh, right. Um...

[He said before holding his vision to Nico. Mumbling to himself once more, he didn't really know what else to do. Getting his Claymore out, he decided to give it a swing before the floor turned to ice.

No really, he didn't know what else he could do to impress his new friend.]

[Nico looks at the vision, pokes at it, but doesn't take it from Freminet.

When the other boy unsheathed his claymore, Nico tensed, then let out a yelp when the floor was covered with ice.]

Woah.

[Upon seeing his reaction, he looked down at the ice floor. This wasn't the best he could do. However, seeing Nico's reaction did boost his confidence up a bit.]

...Um, that isn't the best I can do. But I guess you never see anything like this before?

[Nico looked up, a small smile on his face.]

Ice isn't an element anyone in my pantheon uses. We're from a ... not sub-tropical, but close, region with little snow except for the mountains and the most northern parts of the country. Only the god Boreas and his children have powers of ice.

Then may I ask where you are from? In Fontaine, ice isn't common but we still have a few Cyro users.

[He said with a mumble or two.]

If anything, we have more Hydr...water users.

I'm from Earth. Er. Well, Father is from Greece; he's their god of the dead or was in ancient times. Worship of his pantheon has waned since then. I'm from Italy, but I currently live in America... but I might not have official records because of time travel...

It's complicated.


[An awkward beat.]

Anyway. Water powers aren't common either, but only because Poseidon, he's the sea god where I'm from, only has one child at the moment.

I guess that how you are able to talk to the dead.

[And he wasn't going to say anything further. After all, he knew a thing or two about complicated family matters. Instead, he just looked downward before taking in a deep breath in

[Nico doesn't know what else to say either... so he just looks around awkwardly.]

Oh, but not like, in a convenient way. There's this place called the Lotus Casino and Hotel, and time flows differently there. I was put in there by my Father in the nineteen forties and was taken out in the mid-two thousands, but for me, it was, like, a month.

Uh...

[He wasn't too sure if he understood or not. He was aware that time travel could be a thing but...]

...And that was fine? For you at least?

[Nico won't blame if he didn't understand. The whole thing is kinda stupid.]

I didn't notice anything. Not at first. But I was ten, and little kids can adapt to almost anything better than people give them credit for.

Plus, I had my memory erased so that probably helped too. It's complicated. My whole life is needlessly complicated.

I'm sorry, I just hope that it gets better when you get back home.

[He said as he lowered his head. He really didn't know what else to say. He didn't mean to make it worse for Nico.]

...Um, do you want to take a walk? I didn't mean to make you upset but I know that walking can help you feel a bit calmer.

[Nico waved the apology away.]

[Small chance of that though. But he could deal.]

[Okay. Cute boy asking him to take a walk. Keep it together, di Angelo, he told himself. You just met him, and you don't even know if he likes boys.]

[With that, Freminet gestured him toward somewhere. He wasn't too sure what he wanted to do but...]

Um...I know there's a place we can walk around. We can walk by the port or by the ocean. And I know there are some stores around too if you want to look at them.

[Nodding, Nico falls into step with Freminet]

I don't know where anything is yet, so it'd double as learning my way around.

Okay then. Um...

[He said before gesturing him toward the stores nearby.]

There's some cafes and some grocery stores if you ever want to buy anything. I know there are some restaurants too if you want to get some food. I personally like the cafes better since it's usually quiet...

Do they have Italian food?

[He's taking a chance the other knows what Italian is.]

Do we spend a lot of our time on boats or what? Like, what's the whole deal here?

Uh…I’m not sure. What is Italian food like?

[Said the boy who came from a pseudo French fantasy place.]

But no, not really. In this world, we do a lot of quests and commissions. Based on which team you are, we have to be careful on what you do since you can be in danger.

Pasta in a sauce. A creamy cheese-based sauce or tomato-based sauce.

[Well, he shot his shot.]

Hmm... Sounds a lot like back home except no oracle giving out a prophecy.

Oh, I think I tried that before. There's a few places with uh...Italian foods around. Is that type of food that cake? The one that tastes like coffee with some cream mixed in?

[Or something?? Although, he couldn't help but give a small pause or two]

But um...I suppose you can say something like that. However, it's not too different from back home. Except there was a prophecy.

Tiramisu? Yeah, that's an Italian dessert. It's really good.

[Gods, it's been forever since he had some.]
