i don't know if tadashi had plans with anyone that i wasn't aware of, but. he's gone. just so everyone knows. been looking everywhere. baymax's scanner seems fine and he isn't picking up tadashi's life signs anywhere here. tadashi wouldn't ignore me trying to call or message him like this.

[He knew this would likely happen. One way or another, Tadashi staying here and him going back home to Aunt Cass or something, they'd end up separated. It just feels cruel. Like he had just got his brother back only for this to happen. He can't help feeling upset. Bitter. Not as raging and furious as with Callaghan but still.

It hurts.]

but if he had anything going, i can do my best to help and step in? maybe. depending on what he might have been helping with.

[He can at least offer that much. After he's had a couple of days or so to readjust to being without Tadashi again. If that were even possible. The realization that he's alone here now sinking in. Well, outside of Baymax.]

[Hiro muses, more to himself than to Turo, as he checks the other's arm over, making sure it does seem like it is just the wiring for the most part. That there isn't anything else he is worried about or misses.]

Alright. Yeah, just try be careful until we can get the wiring, I guess. For now.

Metal, and he has been able to shape it in various ways; better at some shapes than others. It is how he makes wiring.

[Other than cleaning out bits of debris from the burned wiring everything seemed good. Even the odd patches of softly glowing crystal.]

I will. At worse I can manage a sling and give the outer excuse of a strain if I end up needing a more visual reminder.

Gotcha. I could use something like that. It'd definitely be handy when working on Baymax. On his insides. If anything happened to his cables and wiring.

[Hiro can't help fretting. If something happened here. It isn't home. He doesn't necessarily have the same materials he might need. To be able to figure out fixing him if he needed to again. He tries not to dwell on that, to focus on the task at hand. On Turo. He tries to reach in and gently remove some of the debris.]

A sling isn't a bad idea.

Indeed; it is not easy to find here, most components like that do need to be made, and at least Dojima may be able to help tailor him easier. I do not doubt he would help you and Baymax on that matter.

[Did know how hard it was for Turo after all, and part of the man's continued practice was to make it easier. Simply had to get the appropriate metal into his hands.

Turo did keep his arm still, the bit of debris easy enough to work away.]

It can be easy to explain away as well, given how active I tend to be here at the sanctuary. Hands on with the animals and then some.

I could think of plenty of other stuff working with metal might come in handy for. At least, in relation to technology. But yeah. You could just say something happened with one of the animals and you hurt your arm caring for them or something?

[Hiro is used to getting hurt. He and Tadashi had numerous incidents growing up with their experiments sometimes over the years. He tries to be careful, using tweezers to get some of the debris out.]

I think that's looking a little better. But yeah, we gotta talk to Dojima about the wiring.

More so in a place like this, and it is the first magic he went with here. [So he had a good hand with it at least.] I could- easily with us having such a influx, and some of them are very large. An accident where I perhaps... pulled something, or anything along those lines would work well.

[It could happen at times when working with large animals- a reason he had been made so sturdy, given what pokémon as a whole could do; then the paradox pokémon were so much stronger... Still, an easy reason for those that believe him only human.

Better for what movements would still be needed there-]

Your help is appreciated quite a bit, and Dojima may have some relief with how he worries just to have a talk at all. You can imagine that my health is... complicated to say the least, no matter the environments I was made to exist in safely and endure.

I'm sure you can figure something to tell everyone about your arm. Just be careful with it in the meantime while we figure replacing the wiring. I'm just glad this isn't too bad. It could be worse. This is pretty minor, really.

[Just a bit more complicated, without his usual tools and supplies. But nothing that difficult. Especially if others were aware of Turo's real identity and were willing to help. Hiro doesn't mind.]

I think this is the best I can manage for now. I think that's all the debris out. Until we can figure the wiring.

Given it has taken this long for a problem to arise, I am certainly grateful for it to be minor- and to know someone I feel I can trust to help. I also know what it likely stems from, and the area greater damage was taken likely should be given a look over when there is better time. [He could piece together a sling easily as well, just a bit of fabric and it would work well enough.

Would also remind him to go a little easy on the arm as well.]

[From detective to sanctuary warden, more or less.] Mm, and I know the worries that come with certain secrets. I know those here worry for mine simply because... some people would try to use me- or they are worried someone may try.

I get that. I can get distracted too, sometimes. I know some people here might....not understand. Be curious or scared. It could make you or Baymax a target. I don't worry so much about Baymax since he's usually with me. And I know you have everyone here to help keep an eye on you.

[Hiro is glad at least that most of the time that Turo has others nearby. That would make it harder for anyone that might consider him a target. That might be scared or curious and looking to take advantage of the situation.]

Distraction can come very easily. At least with curiosity some things can be answered, while fear... can become much more violent. I suppose a few of them worry others might treat me as less, simply because I would no longer be a person in whoever's eyes. I do hope Baymax has been treated well, and I know you do. Being 'friend shaped' working in his favor.

[Some 'illusion of humanity' broken, or him simply... not being who he was made in the image and mind of. A tricky sort of line between Baymax being a friendly shape and Turo made to purposefully look as if he was someone. He was never meant to be known to the world.]

Even if just for a quiet space.

You and Baymax might not be human, but you still have your own personalities. You're still your own people. You're still important in my eyes. But yeah, the design is supposed to be 'non-threatening' and 'huggable'. It helps. People have been curious, but nobody has tried anything to hurt Baymax or anything.

[Hiro says as he finishes checking the arm as best he can for now, ensuring that the wiring is covered again until they can repair and replace it. It's probably easier for Hiro to accept something like this. When he is used to robots. The idea that some might look more human. Unlike what others here might be familiar with back home. He gets a sling from the supplies for the animals, hoping it might fit and work in the meantime.]

I am... very glad to hear you say that, given past conversations- a reason I felt as if I could trust you with this. [His head tilted slightly-] I look as I do as my creator, the original Professor Turo, felt as if he could trust no one with his work; no one but himself- so he made me, knowing he could not continue working alone.

Of course hearing no one has tried to hurt Baymax is good- he is very kind and thoughtful.

[There was a nod as Turo took his good arm- after letting the synthetic skin move back together in that nearly undetectable seal. Sleeve rolled back down as he moved the sling to where it should work, the strap over his shoulder-

Did work rather well, keeping the arm supported and- well, still.]

That should keep you going for now. Let me know when the wiring is figured and I can come back and have a look. I'm just glad that so far, this should help in the meantime.

[Hiro isn't sure how long the other might take in figuring out the wires and the cables they would need. But at least, he can help manage this for now. He shifts to straighten and check that the sling is on properly and fits okay, before he nods, satisfied for now.]

It should- and give me a reminder that cannot be missed to go easy on the arm myself. I shall, even if it may take a moment with gathering enough of the correct metals needed; at times that is the hardest part here. Thank you again, truly.

[Relief clear enough in his tone. He had faith, even if it might take some time, for Dojima to create the wiring given certain complexities of correct size and occasional twisting braid before wrapping.

The sling would do well, not pressing anywhere it should, letting Turo's arm rest at a comfortable angle.]

It's no worries. Just take it easy until we can fix it properly. And ask the others around here for help if you need with work in the meantime. I'd offer to help out but I'm not sure how useful I'd be. My only experience is with Mochi, my cat back home.

[And even then. Poor Mochi, putting up with Hiro's ideas and inventions over the years. Like the rocket boots. Hiro's definitely more in his element with researching the magitech, really. Even if he might know some bare basics of first aid from minor mishaps over the years with his experiments.]

I shall be sure to- it is likely there are those who would encourage me to relax more, given I take on some extra tasks simply because I can multi-task. The thought does matter, and there are always those traps you spoke of.

There is quite a bit of heavy lifting, but at worse I can direct someone on how to create some of my recipes for potions, salves, and other medicines. [-Turo really did take a lot on his shoulders simply because it was how things had been. More so when he'd suddenly been alone in Area Zero.]

Take it easy. I'm sure one of the others won't mind giving you a hand. Just be careful for now. And let me know if you need a hand in the meantime.

[Hiro reassures and encourages the Professor, ensuring the sling was on properly, glancing around in the meantime if there was anything before he heads off that he could help with. He doesn't want to poke into anything he shouldn't. Or seems like he's now considering Turo to be helpless to do anything at all. Because he doesn't think that.]

Right- I get a little ahead of myself at times. We do have volunteers, and at worst I know others who I can ask for help around the sanctuary. Have you ever worked on magitech shielding? It is something I started working on with another here, and have taken to use in other ways.

[There was a small gesture, wit the 'good' arm, towards his desk. There was a velvet lined box with various cut elemental gems -various shapes- along with connected metal parts and runes along those.]

I was making a pen of sorts for animals that need to be separated until they have healed enough from broken bones or even bad sprains.

Shielding? Hm. I could have a look.

[Hiro wants to help if he can. He glances at the desk, the box, noting the gems and runes.]

It looks alright so far. You'd just want the actual thing to be bigger, right? What animals would you be expecting? How many? So we can get an idea of the scale.

I have managed to take it from the initial purpose of shielding from attacks -adapted the technology I helped develop for that- to make for some everyday use. Energy shields created from barrier segments makes for good shelter, or 'fencing' given I have used it to create a greenhouse-like garden behind this building.

[Still was working in creating larger barriers, and he had discovered ways to enlarge the covered area- but it weakened; still did well for those purposes however.]

Correct, while also trying to keep the animal inside from hurting itself further. A sort of... softening? While making it bigger- the size would likely be the same as a small room? Or around that- there is a raptor that I want to get used to their flexible cast before allowing it back out; nothing I have created heals broken bones quickly, which is for the better.

Bones can heal strangely, and the natural period of time can allow for correction after all.

Right. Shielding from attacks or from them trying to escape when you're not ready to let them back out to the wild is important. I suppose you could use something to....hm, cushion the edges? So they won't hurt themselves if they try to escape, you mean? I can try to come up with some ideas and bring them to you next time I check in about your arm.

[Hiro doesn't want to promise anything. Make any guarantees. But he is going to try and see what he can come up with. He does want to help and can probably figure something out that might help and work with what Turo needs.]

Indeed- while I know from first hand they work well as defensive shielding in an attack, the trick is making it more suitable to hold something within without allowing it to bring further damage as you said and guessed. I have not quite gotten it, and it has been a little more difficult to focus with the arm.

I will appreciate anything you might come up with- and you are welcome to the schematics if that may help any.

[More than willing to share what he had so it could be added on to, or altered in any way.]

I'll have a think and get back to you when I come to look at that arm of yours. But yeah, having the schematics would probably help, if you can let me borrow or have access to those as well.

[Hiro agrees to check the schematics. It makes sense to have a look at the schematics and see what Turo had in mind, what he had already planned, and wants. So Hiro can know what to check on, what to add or change, what to improve on.]
