[so maybe you're just browsing the network, minding your own business, when a new message pops on the screen. let's see, nothing out of the ordina--

what is that. no, really, Angel doesn't show himself on the network that often, so either you've seen him around, or you haven't. for those who haven't, he's a very tall, lanky, spidery-looking dude, with pink fur and pointy teeth and strange eyes. he has two (visible) sets of arms, and legs, on top of that! yeah, he's a real piece of work, this one. fortunately, he's not here to bother you about magic. he's here to bother you about other things]

The name's Angel, an' I got a little survey thingie I'm conductin'. Like, the most informal survey ever, okay? Lemme tell ya, I've been here a little while, an' it amazes me when I hear about other worlds different from my own. It's incredible, like, a lotta you go through stuff I couldn't even imagine.

My question is, out of all the people you've talked to, which world do ya wanna visit the most?

I'll go first! [as cool as Angel usually is, it's obvious he's passionate about what he has to say] This kid told me about a world with little animals or monsters, or whatever, that are called Pokémon! There are a whole bunch of different species, an' I wanna meet 'em all! [wait. he calms himself] ...They don't have cats or dogs, but there are Pokémon for those, I guess. Sounds fun, right?

So, what about you, huh? Lemme know about other worlds you've heard about while bein' here. Or tell me about your worlds. I just wanna see if anythin' beats Kieran's Pokémon-world.

[Ranma slides in like OP after a million years cause they just saw this shhhhh appears on screen, hanging upside down from a tree branch with his arms positioned behind his head, resting his phone on his chest. He was in the middle of doing some inverted crunches by the time he heard Angel's network post.]

I've heard plenty 'round here. One of 'em sounds like something straight outta comic book, with superheroes and 'Quirks' as 'zuku called them. I'd probably visit that one, get into a good fight while I'm there and help people out.

[Martial artist duty and principles and all that. That, and while he'd never openly admit it because emotional vulnerability's gross, he kinda sorta really misses the guys that were once here. They were chill.]

That Pokémon world doesn't sound half bad either. [He's not saying that because Angel mentioned there being no cats... Okay, that's like a quarter of it. From what he's experienced and heard from word of mouth, they'd give him a challenge.]

My world's something, lemme tell you. It's got guys and girls nearly as good as me at fighting. [... It's a compliment? Tone-deaf one, but a compliment nonetheless.] Outside that, it's pretty normal... 'sides the monsters, spirits and magic crap.

That's, like, the second time someone's mentioned they'd wanna go to super hero land. Interesting.

I dunno if monsters hanging out in worlds are normal, though, yanno? There ain't any of those in my world.

I was part of a crew of guys who came from that place. They up and vanished couple 'o months ago, so I gotta assume they were sent back there. Plus superheroes make for some interesting sparring partners.

I guess it kinda looks monstrous. I didn't always look like this, though. I used t'be human, like you.

[Pffft- The jazzhands got a grin out of him. Though that quickly fades into a thin line. A human, just like him...?]

[not that Angel doesn't believe in curses, but he never saw a person be turned into something else because of one]

Human-self died. Then I was turned into a demon. Or, my soul was? Somethin' like that.

[so, not exactly a monster! in any case, Angel hasn't really told many people here about this, but eh. this kid has been pretty honest with him. Ranma might as well know]

[The teen nods in understanding. There's been animal-people here and there like Della, and demons like Blitz, but Ranma fell into the assumption of the former for Angel. Stranger things have happened to him or he's witnessed to perfectly accept anything Angel tells him though, no matter how outlandish it may be.]

... Sorry you died, I guess? That really blows man.

It sure does suck! But, like, it's okay. I'm here, now. An' I'm enjoyin' it.

[see, the fact that Ranma didn't really freak out calms Angel. he can make jokes while still not really liking his fate. but, it's happened. and he cannot change it]

That's a good guess, but no. Although, maybe if I had been bitten by a spider, I could have gained spider-like powers without kickin' the can. Huh?
