Hey my fellow other-worlders! Double-A Battery gave me a brilliant idea while we were out scoopin' the hottest desert ever - that's Azul Ashengrotto, bee tee dubs, keep an eye out for the eventual opening of his Mostro Lounge! [ finger guns, how's that for free advertisement? ]

Anyway! Back in his homelife, he's a member of a Board Game club, which we ABSOLUTELY need to bring here! Honestly it'd be nice to play with people who won't threaten to kick me out of the will for losing. A-hem. Nothing too big or too serious, maybe just meet up once a month or more to have some fun! So I'm here to ask you all the super important questions - what are your favorite board games?

Hey, you know what, let's broaden our horizons - what's your favorite game, period! Lay it all out! I'm all ears, you just can't see them, because I'm a duck.

[Oh? Azul was not expecting the shout-out here, but hey, who is he to look a gift-horse (or maybe in this case, a gift-duck?) in the mouth when the opportunity presents itself, so thanks for that free advertisement there, friend.]

It's so hard for me to choose a favorite, as I'm sure you can imagine. [What with... being the person who told you about being in a Board Game club to begin with...] If I had to choose, I tend to like games of logic like chess, but I have also had a good time when playing Monoply or other similar types of games with Idia-san in our club back home.

[Aaaand no one is surprised that Azul Ashengrotto loves Monoply, since it involves money and controlling the board via claims on properties and businesses...]

If you want, Della-san, I can always give you a list of all the board games I remember having played at the club back home, and we can see which ones can be easily obtained or recreated in some form here with what's available.

Hahaha, amazing! So other words have Monoply too, how weird! ... It's been a while since I played the OG version, though. My uncle loves playing his version. It's very awkward. We're all top hats...

Your uncle has his own version? I know that there are different versions of Monoply, but that's kind of impressive that there's one that your family contributed to making...

Trust me, buddy, it's not one that should be shared in the public. I love my uncle to bits and pieces, but the whole game is about him. His businesses, his deals, it's like a love-letter to himself.

His name is Scrooge McDuck and he named it Scroogeopology.

Ah. I can see how that might get a little overwhelming to try to play with other people...

What kind of businesses does he have, if you don't mind my asking?

Buddy, it'd be easier to list what businesses he DOESN'T have! He's got his fingers in every pot he can find! Food, travel, science, if it can make money - legally - then he's invested.

My, that really is impressive... does that mean that he's one of, if not the wealthiest person in the world where you're from?

[Azul don't you dare start looking to Scrooge McDuck for inspirational role models here--]

Got it in one! That's right - Scrooge McDuck is THE richest duck in the whole wide world! And he might even be the richest person in history!

Really now... just how much money does someone like that have to his name?

So rich, they had to invent new words for it! So rich, he's got a vault of coins he can swim through! So rich, he used gold to fill in my cavities!

So, the kind of rich that allows you to just about anything you could ever want to do or hope to have. Or perhaps too much money if he's able to set aside enough to literally swim in a pool of coins.

[If Scrooge McDuck ever ends up in this place, Azul is going to have to ask if he's allowed to take notes on hearing about how the duck got so rich.]

I don't think there's such a thing as "too much money" when it comes to Scrooge. Besides, money can't buy the kind of stuff he loves most - adventure, exploration, and his family!

[Oh no Della why would you bring in that kind of sentimentality talk...]

I suppose not... although, when you say "adventure", what kind are we talking about here?

All kinds! Using ancient maps and prophecies to discover long lost treasures! Traversing through dangerous lands for any trace of a hidden civilization! Taking on challenges that all others have failed to accomplish!

I see... and I assume that you've been on some of these adventures yourself, correct?

[sos_pilot]

Of course! I've been adventuring with him since I was younger than you! At this point, it's family tradition! Now I take my kids adventuring with us!

[Ah that's right, he almost forgot that she was in fact a mom and not just someone who radiates "mom" energy...]

Remind me again, how many kids do you have? What are their names?

[ Oh boy. Prepare for motor-mouth. Her excitement ramps up 300%. ]

I have triplet boys! Huey Dewey and Louie! They are the cutest, smartest, bravest, best boys ever! They really take on the McDuck adventuring spirit! Huey's got so many facts memorized, and he's way more intelligent than most adults you'll know! Dewey's such a superstar and always eager and ready to try new things! And Louie's got a huge heart he loves to hide, and he can see through the loopholes of any bad guy's scheming!

[ and she may keep going. and going. and going. and... ]

[For now, Azul doesn't stop her: this is all potentially useful information in the event her kids suddenly show up here one day, and is readily being given to him for free.

... Plus, he's also kind of amused by it and may in fact be timing it now to see just how long Della can keep rambling about her kids before she realizes how long she's been talking, even if he starts looking at something else while she keeps talking here...]

[ She doesn't seem to notice, going on about all the Junior Woodchuck badges Huey has earned, the first time Dewey flew the family plane, the cute face Louie makes when he naps... and finally stops when she. well.

needs to breathe. even ducks have lungs. ]

Phewwwwww! ... Oh. Uh. Oops. Went on for a while there, didn't I?

Oh, not long at all. Only...

[A pause, as he checks the time.]

About 27 minutes, give or take?

[ She chuckles sheepishly, scratching the back of her head. ]

Sorry about that. Sometimes it's hard to turn off Mama Mode.
