Hey my fellow other-worlders! Double-A Battery gave me a brilliant idea while we were out scoopin' the hottest desert ever - that's Azul Ashengrotto, bee tee dubs, keep an eye out for the eventual opening of his Mostro Lounge! [ finger guns, how's that for free advertisement? ]

Anyway! Back in his homelife, he's a member of a Board Game club, which we ABSOLUTELY need to bring here! Honestly it'd be nice to play with people who won't threaten to kick me out of the will for losing. A-hem. Nothing too big or too serious, maybe just meet up once a month or more to have some fun! So I'm here to ask you all the super important questions - what are your favorite board games?

Aight, so you got a buncha pins and you gotta battle it out against others. If ya stop a pin you get a point, and if ya knock a pin outta the arena that's two points. If you's knocked out, you keep going until you run outta pins. Whoever's the last one standin' or who's got the most points when times up wins.

[There's a lot more nuance but least that's the gist of it.]

That sounds like major fun! We gotta get in on that ASAP!

Gotta find pins that can work for it, but I'm down to play again.

I'll keep an eye for them! Can you describe them for me? Don't leave out any details!

Ain't sure if this place is gonna have them but them's a bit thicker than regular pins. Kinda like this.

[It takes him a bit but he pulls out a pin, holding it up for Della to see. A large red hog sits in the middle against a red background. Holding it sideways, it is slightly thicker than a normal pin, with some small gadgetry between the front and the backing.]

Each pin can do it's own thing so it ain't 'sactly the same as the stuff you see around.

[ She lets out an impressed whistle, tilting her head left and right to make sure she doesn't miss anything. ]

Ain't that a beauty! What kinda 'own thing' does this one do?

You know what, I ain't sure. Like I said, ain't played in a while. Was just collecting pins like usual back home.

But gimme a sec.

[The camera angles adjusts as Beat props it up against something on a table. Placing the pin down he fiddles with it a little, trying to get it to trigger. After a moment, the pin bounces, causing a number of spikes to protrude around it.

Beat yelps slightly as one of the spike poke his fingers, though it seems more from surprise than actual pain.]

Bwuh! Guess we know now.

[ Della lets out a startled "WHOA" and then laughs! ]

Oh man! That was amazing! It's gunna be hard finding a pin that's cooler than that - you're the pro here and we only just got started!

Heh, I dunno 'bout pro, yo. My li'l sis used to kick my ass at this when we used to play. She was real good at this.

[He waits a few more seconds before poking around the less spiky parts of the pin, but it retracts on its own after a moment.]

My girlfriend's got one I gave to her a while back, too. Ain't sure if she still has it or if it does somethin'.

How do you have so many pins and not know what they do? Don't you ever get curious?

Didn't really use 'em to play Tin Pin, so I never really tried. Also hadta do somethin' important instead of playin' for a coupla years. I'm prob'ly pretty rusty at it.

Then it's more than ample time to practice! When we get this game going, I expect to be facing a champion!

Nah, you right! Gotta head in the game if I'mma beating all y'all at this.

[He laughs heartily.]

You sure know how to get someone hyped, yo. Could take a coupla notes from ya.

[ Proudly prods her chest with her thumbs. ]

Call me the queen of cheer! I feel my best when I'm givin' someone else a boost!

[He'll remember that name for the entirety of 0.05 seconds.]
