[There was hesitation as the goetia stared at his shellphone. There was a burning question he wanted assistance with but also wanting to keep it from this imp roommate. Was there a way to filter who saw? He rarely touched the thing other to message Blitzø...
Pushing a few keys, experimenting, he turned on the video fed. Two pairs of red eyes blinked back as surprise washed across his owlish face. Welp, guess we're doing this. Stolas just hoped that maybe Blitzø was occupied with other things to see.
Raising a hand, he waved his talons at the screen forcing a smile.]
Hello there. I think this is the first time I've addressed everyone in this manner since being here.
I have seen come on here to ask for advice, which is the reason why I'm signing on. There wouldn't be someone here who knows how to cook and would be willing to teach me? Sadly my ability barely goes past pouring a bowl of cereal with milk. [He reaches up to flatten the plumes on the top of his head, his eyes drifting to the side.] Since I'm... living with someone, I want to try my hand a it. To be a good roommate!
If anyone is willing to help, I would appreciate it.

Well, I can't claim to be a chef, but I know a few rudimentary meals I could offer to teach! And if you have a sweet tooth, I have a lovely recipe for pâte de fruits.

[His head perked up at that. Blitzø would like something sweet, wouldn't he? Thinking about it... he doesn't know what they imp favored.]
That would be a nice thing to learn. I would be interested to try if you'll excuse my poor ability.

[Lyney won’t admit it out loud but he has quite the sweet tooth. A trait he shares with his sister, though he isn’t one to snag three pieces of cake like his sister would.]
It’s quite simple once you get the steps right, but takes time and care to not burn anything. Cooking in general can be quite intimidating, but with a little preparation and practice, anyone can be a pro! Or at least get by enough to feed themselves.

[Though, how the young man put it, it sounds a bit intimidating. 'Not to burn' things it what he was trying to avoid.]
I would be willing to learn. I can't guarantee that I won't burn it on my first go.
Sorry for the delay, got busy on my end!
[And because he’s a bit of a showman, he flicks his hand in the feed, and suddenly? A playing card appears. Another flick, and it fans out into several.]
To become an expert at anything, you need to practice and practice! A hundred times, a thousand times, until it becomes second nature. Only with practice and hard work can something complicated become effortless. Cooking’s no different, mon ami.
[All the while he’s doing a few fancy shuffles and sleight of hand tricks with the cards, all which seems complicated and precarious but Lyney makes look effortless.]
You're fine!
No, you're quite right. You should have seen me when I first started to learn magic. Nearly teleported myself halfway across Hell one time. I just want to aim for elidable food. It doesn't need to look pretty.

Precisely! So, would you prefer me to offer written instructions, or shall I offer a live demonstration? If it's the latter you'd like, you'd have to let me know when and where you'd like to meet.
