Okaaaaay! I know what you are all here for today, a bounty? A chance to beat someone's face in!? I want that too, but I'm bringing somethin' else to the table.

[ the camera shuffles, surge can be seen relaxing on someone's bed with her legs crossed, and what seems to be a small book in hand. the background suggests she's in a very tidy room which doesn't match her personality, however... in the corner of the video, a busted down door can be seen with the hinges broken off, and then the camera's readjusted to show only surge and that mischievous smile of hers. ]

So Chick had me thinkin' you know, everyone got a lil creative side, so I thought maybe revealing these techniques would lighten everything up.

[ leaning up, surge flips through the book in hand searching for something and... ]

Aha! So I'll start with someone I know who does this almost every day. Ahem! Here we have one that happens to the best of us. I feel as if this one needs a beat... DRIPPY, HAND ME THAT GUITAR....

[ with the guitar in hand, and the questionable pick is when surge begins to strum at the strings to find a beat. she's a little taken aback on how this works because this is different from what she's seen, but her beat is off-rhythm and she gives a little screamo action on this poetic piece of literature she memorized as another piece of art slides on screen. ]

[ that one speaks for itself as surge finishes up her "technique" on the guitar, one of the strings snapping, and she throws it on the floor afterwards. with that done, surge flips to another page, squinting to look over at her camerafox picture he wants to use then down at the writing.

once found, the picture takes the entire view. ]

Bees buzzing so loud
Crocodiles full of sound
It's snowing on Mt. Fuji

[ as they prepare for the next one, surge is shuffling through pages unable to find what she wants... ] This next one gunna take a minute, Drippy do a commercial break or somethin' I need to find this one.

--COMMERCIAL BREAK STARTS--

[ kit and surge each leave from one side of the camera, going offscreen until...

a piece of paper is lifted in front of the camera, and slowly moved from one side to the other. behind it, some might recognize that they're hearing kitsunami's voice. ]

Do do do do doo, do do d-do do... Doo... Do not buy Build-A-Bot!

[ after this important message, the picture slides off camera, and now surge is somewhere else inside of the room, and there's a little quaint desk for calligraphy by her side. surge stands with sharktooth grin as another image comes from above, covering the camera. again, surge's voice can be heard as she reads off another hit. ] For the finale of Peaches' Hikes, we'll end it off on one that makes a lotta sense to me.

[ here comes the last image from below, covering the shellphone screen, and revealing... a masterpiece as surge reads off that little book she has. ]

Seashells on the sea shore
There is a very loud snore
Ignoring it is a chore
Would like to stop being poor
Waiting around is a bore

[ oh, she's going to lean forward to tap the tip of espio's horn as he gets to work. yes, release the lady. ]

See, the only reason I'm here is because not too long ago... SONIC DIDN'T KILL EGGMAN, BLAME HIM!

[ with a roll of her eyes. ]

[ thank you, espio. kit doesn't even spare him a glance as he scurries to surge, sitting down next to her as espio undoes the ropes. ]

[Espio starts retying the rope]

[ he's doing his best kicked puppy expression. they didn't do anything wrong. ]

Well. I will do my best to not lecture you both, but I need you to understand that breaking down my door isn't acceptable if I'm not here.

It's also incredibly inconsiderate that you broke a precious item of mine. ...I'll excuse the poetry reading, though. [That was, at best, just real damned embarrassing.]

I-I think it can be fixed...

[ it's not like smashed, it's just... you know, the string could be replaced. kit turns his gaze over in the direction of the shamisen... but then turns it back to espio. ]

[ ... ]

Will you untie Surge now?

I rocked too hard, I get it. I get it.

[ if it's so precious damn, but this is like helping a cat out of a tree which is the most boring hero quest but... ]

I'll get it fixed since I killed it on the Sumimasen.

[ it's one step towards being a hero.

she'll lift up her legs too. ]

C'mon Peaches, release me and I'll have it all brand spankin' new.

[Even if Surge doesn't say it, it's as good as an apology for Espio. Even if he isn't super thrilled about everything else, getting the string replaced is good enough. So, he does untie Surge for good this time.]

Perhaps in the future, we can find an instrument that works well for you. I used to play music with my team when we had free time, and I would enjoy sharing that with you and Kit if you ever have interest.

[ kit seems surprised—both by how easy it was to abate espio's temper, and by the invitation he offers. but kit? kit's not in any place to accept.

instead, he peers up at surge now on her feet, following suit himself and standing up. ]

[ can someone please ask why he tied her up? anyone? no? okay. ]

[ second time is the charm, but we all know espio is probably going to hide it. though, her face shows some shock at what he says, slightly confused....

Deadweight like me? Like, don't ya wanna ask Sonic and Tails about that?

I would not refer to you or Kit as deadweight, and I'm asking you both. Not them.

I'll understand if you refuse, of course. But things like music and other creative skills can be very freeing. To find a new way to express yourself. I would be glad to share it with you both.

[ she doesn't know what to say, it's like kindness is being handed to them, and she's yet to know how to take it. even though she doesn't look afraid, she's skeptical, and isn't the best way to express is by beating sonic until he can't breathe. it is... different, and she thinks an instrument could be cool... but she doesn't know.

it's hard for her to tell if this is genuine or something to keep them busy like the group tends to do.

the ropes are off... why did he do that to her. facts i need to know. of course, rather than answer espio, surge is lifting her leg up to make sure she's free. she doesn't see a rope or anything, but maybe he's a ninja with invisible rope... she's making sure.

[ she walks over to the shamisen, picking it up to look at the string she broke and then the pick. ]

[ kit watches in... maybe it would be called doubt. like surge, he doesn't know why espio is being so nice to them—they want to kill his friend. he should be acting more like amy: self-righteous and stubborn. instead, he's here offering to teach surge how to play an instrument. ]

[ but surge is free. he really did that. is he trying to gain their trust so that he can trick them? is he like sonic, in that way?

regardless, espio hasn't said anything he disagrees with, and surge seems to have it handled, so he only follows after her as she moves through the room. ]

[look if he didn't lasso her she woulda gotten away that's No Good stop makin it weird

No argument from him, though. He lets her take the instrument and nods.]
