Couple things I've been wondering about, lately. Figured now that the brand crap has settled down a bit, it's as good a time as any to ask.
- Any word on where the Paladin Leviathan went? Lost track of that discussion with all the under water adventures.
- Has anyone heard anything about any Riftfarers ever getting promoted in their respective Armadas? We know they have superiors, a council each - Paladins especially have a military type structure, from what I've seen. But has anyone ever been an officer? Or whatever passes for it in the Corsairs?
[It just seems weird, okay.]
- And ah, less seriously
[He almost starts typing "Looking for experience with getting a house" but deletes it. That's too forward, probably.]
Pet fish. Suggestions welcome. The hardier the species the better.
[NAILED IT.]

Do I detect a "former" in there?
It does seem strange. If not outright discrimination, then maybe there's some concern about riftfarers' tendency to abruptly disappear.

[GEE GARRUS CAN YOU BE LESS OF A DRAG.]
That doesn't rule out the ones who've been here for years. That's about as stable as any other politician's lifespan. Or service term. Whichever comes first.

[WELP. ENOUGH OF THAT, THEN--]
That doesn't mean they're not still wary of the possibility. One could be here for years, only to disappear abruptly days after a promotion. Supernatural events like the rifts can certainly skew everyone's mindsets, whether they're aware of it or not.

An event doesn't need to be supernatural to remove someone from their position.

But tell me, if you're not hoping to be promoted yourself, what might've prompted this line of thinking? Asking for a friend?

Besides, can't help but wonder if some of our own might've prevented this branding crap. Or at least tried to argue against it.

Hmm. I think it's hard to tell, to be frank with you. It's not as though we riftfarers have played any key roles in bringing the opposing factions together.

[and he's SALTY.]
It is, sure. But we'll never know. Because none of ours are allowed in their inner ranks. I mean, we're trying to find the Leviathan they chased off - shouldn't that count for something?

[DAMN THOUGH, GARRUS.]
It's abundantly clear that they just don't see us that way. Personally, I'm just not sure it would be worth the fuss or the trouble. I find that having my feet on the ground is more worthwhile than getting tied up in the bureaucracy of things.

[Shepard did not take lightly to what happened.]
Probably. I don't think I want to get mixed up in their politics, either. Only reason I even want to look for their damned whale is for the every day people living there.
