Couple things I've been wondering about, lately. Figured now that the brand crap has settled down a bit, it's as good a time as any to ask.

- Any word on where the Paladin Leviathan went? Lost track of that discussion with all the under water adventures.

- Has anyone heard anything about any Riftfarers ever getting promoted in their respective Armadas? We know they have superiors, a council each - Paladins especially have a military type structure, from what I've seen. But has anyone ever been an officer? Or whatever passes for it in the Corsairs?

[It just seems weird, okay.]

- And ah, less seriously

[He almost starts typing "Looking for experience with getting a house" but deletes it. That's too forward, probably.]

Pet fish. Suggestions welcome. The hardier the species the better.

[NAILED IT.]

You're right of course, but double standards have always existed between people in some manner or another.

Sometimes you can do everything right, with the right motivation, and still not really be trusted. Were you going to try to rise in the ranks then?

I'm not entirely certain if 'scared' is the right word from what I felt.

Unfortunately. They're rather prevalent in my world between humans and non-humans. Not entirely surprising to find they exist in some manner here.

Ah, so just a question born from curiosity.

Can't say I entirely blame it.

Not quite. My world has a variety of nonhumans ranging from mutants like me to different species found throughout the galaxy. Among mutants there's also a large variance between those with physical mutations and those with just powers.

There's nothing wrong with that. People should be asking questions, particularly in a place like this. And it seems to have given a lot of people things to think about.

[ Well, that's interesting. She clicks her own video on and shakes her head. ] Not that I'm aware of, but honestly that hardly means a thing. I've spent enough time in space and in other universes to know that...I know nothing.

[ So could there be? Maybe. ]

Have you ever heard of a race called the Brood? Or Timebreakers?

[ Now she's just curious. ]

I don't like it either, so you're not alone there. It never feels great to be expected to help a place and yet have it in the back of your mind that you're not really trusted. That you'll always be seen as something of an outsider.

No? Then I suppose we're from different places. Not entirely surprising, so far there's only one other here with me from my own bunch of realities.

[ why is the multiverse so weird and complicated? ]

For the best really, both of them are not subtle either. Particularly the Brood.

I'm sorry you've been in that position before. How long have you been here?

I hope you two at least get along. [ Would suck if they were like ancient enemies or something. ]

Their name is very accurate too. In my universe I believe they were said to have been the first galactic predator species. Not all of them are terrible though, we have one going to our school.

Mm, I've been to a few worlds where time's harder to trace. A year seems like quite a long time to be here.

Well, even better that you're both here then. I'm glad you two have each other. [ She wouldn't bat an eye if they didn't exactly get together and yet were actually a couple. It'd...be similar to her situation. Ish.

I've traveled to a lot of different universes and there are definitely some constants that just seem to exist throughout all of them. [ it's kind of a weird thing about it all. ]

That's good that it's gotten better at least. Here's to further improvements.

[ well, she's happy some people have happiness here. Or anywhere at all. The world can be shitty enough ]

Ah, both? I've been to nexus dimensions before where people from different universes all end up and I've been to just entirely different universes before. I'd hate to bore you with the technicalities of it all though. Unless you want to be bored.

I've been to two, both were fairly different from one another.

In some ways? The Crystal Palace was a nexus where people were brought in from a variety of universes to fix damage that had been done throughout the Multiverse. We were tasked with cleaning up mistakes made in other universes. Which, it seems has happened here at times? People being asked to help fix problems in this world.

We were also stuck there until the powers that be decided to send us back to our homeworlds. Which was utterly random.

Otherworld is very different, but in appearance it does have some similarities to this place.

Which is something of an improvement. At least that means there's less mess.

No warning at all. They simply plucked us up and left us to figure out where we were, what was going on, and what was expected of us. Made for a messy situation due to...duplicates.

That would be nice, wouldn't it? I can't remember the last time I wasn't cleaning up for someone else.

Ah, yes. The multiverse where I'm from is made up of alternate versions of the same universe. Meaning you encounter different versions of people you knew. I've run into a few evil versions of my twin for instance.
