[Hiro is tinkering away in his dedicated space to work and research, Baymax observing nearby and apparently attempting to help clean up a little. The teen speaks as he works on something or other, notes next to him.]

I was thinking.....I know others here are also...uh, I guess, inventors? We should help out, work together? I know there've been times when we've needed to like, dive and go underwater, right? I've been thinking if I can come up with something to help with that? It's just a matter of coming up with ideas. What might work? Diving is fine, but even that only gets you down so far. And you'd have limited oxygen with the tanks....Maybe some sort of machine you can go in? It'd have to be tested and stuff. Make sure it's safe. That it could handle the pressure.....I dunno. If anyone has any suggestions, ideas? I've dealt with making suits for other stuff, but not so much the water. That kind of makes things a bit more complicated. Maybe something like a drone for underwater? So we can look around to be sure of whatever we might find, and then go down after.....?

[He ends up more sort of spouting off ideas to himself more than anything, and Baymax glances over at the teen, telling him that he should go and take a break. Get some rest and something to eat. Hiro does have a tendency to get rather distracted and focused on his plans, his work, and ignoring anything else.]

Okay, okay, bud. I'm coming. Um, yeah, let me know what you guys think?

[Hiro says before giving a wave and ending the video so Baymax will stop telling him to take a break.]

I'm told that if you possess no particular power, the tattoo will enable you to wield something new. A particular element.

[ He doesn't think it's something one can choose, but it's also not something he has needed to ask deeply about. ]

Well, there's no need to get one if you feel comfortable enough without. I find those who can wield magic as a shortcut to hard work come to be...complacent about themselves. [ Ahem. ] Either way, I'm sure there is much we can teach each other.

[Hm. Something to consider. Hiro hadn't immediately gone off to get one because he didn't have any particular abilities he needed to keep from home. Not like some others.]

Complacent? But ah. Yeah. I guess. I won't say no to working with others. Especially when we kinda all have the same goal, right? At least in this instance, helping to find Elah and all, I mean.

[He just wants to help out where he can. Even if he might be more on the support side of things, helping make or fix stuff for their research and investigations. Hiro can at least manage that much.]

There are a few of us with an interest in developing the technology of this world further, outside of finding the great whale. Cid and a Doctor Robotnik, are two others I'm acquainted with. I err towards the magical aspect of magitech myself. I seem to be the only one who is first and foremost a mage.

[ It helps with explaining how magic interacts with technology. He's not terribly behind when it comes to the tech aspects, but he still has things to learn. ]

Yeah, I know Cid. I was on his crew before. And I think I've seen that other guy around on the network. I'm more specialized in robotics myself. But I want to help out if I can. I'm used to technology, at least.

[So that is at least something he can do. Help with. Even if he might not be the most physically active for the most part, as active as the likes of Sora. He's still wanting to contribute somehow.]

Yeah. Baymax can be useful. He's a healthcare companion. But sure, that works.

[Hiro nods, making note of the forge. There's sure to be an option that would work out. Hiro doesn't mind helping out; at least things like this can help him feel useful. Feeling like he can contribute. Even if he might not necessarily be right there as capable of dealing with the going underwater and all, as a regular human without any particular abilities like some of the others around here have.]
