Aight, so me and Checkers are trying to make a skate park over at Hero's Rest and we gonna need some help.

[Beat moves aside to show off the State of the Skate Park. It is obvious that it needs quite a bit of Help. He stands in what looks to be the middle of a repurposed amphitheater. The only things that have been set up is a ramp and a grind rail from the stairs that are already part of the original architecture.]

It ain't much right now, but we got a lotta plans.

[Setting aside the shellphone, he rummages through his sketchbook, eventually flipping to a page with said plans. He holds it up to reveal a very rough drawing of his and Roxas' dream skate park for all to see.]

We thinkin' 'bout puttin' up a half-pipe somewhere 'round here— [He starts moving around, pointing out to a space each time. Boy, does he look excited about it, grinning from ear to ear. Very much like a kid in a candy store.] —coupla pyramids somewhere in the middle, an' a buncha rails and ramps all 'round. Yo, Checkers! Am I missin' anythin'?

[Roxas can be seen in the background, cleaning up part of the amphitheater that they hadn't gotten to. He turns to Beat.]

Maybe a bowl somewhere?

Nah, you's right. Gotta add that to the plan. [Then Beat turns back to the shellphone.] That too. Anyways, it's gonna be a lotta work, so if can help us out, we gonna owe you big time, yo! Jus' name your price!

[ooc: Beat is red and Roxas is blue. Either one of them or both will be answering replies!]

I think it looks great so far! I already told Roxas I'd be happy to help with anything. I'll probably be best at painting.

[ Oh boy do her eyes light up! ]

[Not that he knows Roxas that well but he assumes that anyway.]

Nah, nah, we ain't havin' none a' that. I ain't even seen what you can do so you can't go puttin' yourself down jus' 'cause!

[ Probably not but it is a funny thought. ]

Oh. I'm sorry. I'll try not to until you've seen what I can do. But I haven't really gotten to do much here yet.

[He's not going to let people talk badly about themselves around him.]

An' don't sweat it. You can jus' draw me something' when ya can. Took me a bit to get started here, but I can show you what I got so far.

[Thankfully, one of the MANTA quests helped him get back into it in the last month.]

I'd like to get a sketchbook eventually, but I haven't looked too much into it yet. [ Even though it feels very strange to not have one. ] There's so much here, it's hard to really get settled. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've done though!

Can help ya with that, too. There's a couple store that sell art stuff over at Eltrut. Tha's where I got my sketchbook an' paints too.

[He goes over to this pack, rifling for his sketchbook for a rough sketch of one of his murals in Eltrut. Holding it up, there's a messy drawing of a tropical landscape similar to what's seen on the leviathan.]

If you see this somewhere 'round Eltrut, tha's some of my stuff. Had a bit of help workin' on it so I can't take all the credit.

Oh! I'd appreciate the help in finding them! [ When he pulls out the sketchbook her eyes widen. ]

You're so good! I may have to ask you for some lessons. And I'm definitely going to go look around for those! It'll be like a mini adventure.

Lessons from me? [His eyes widen, mouth hanging open slightly.] Sure, I'm aight but I wouldn't say these good enough to teach someone, yo.

[Reaching behind his head, he runs the back of his neck, not quite sure how to take the compliment. Most of his art seemed messy on paper, less so on the murals he worked on, but compared to people he knew back home, he still felt like there was more he had to learn.]

Got another one in Nogard. Woulda made one for Elah but that's tough when the entire thing's missin', you know? [On top of everything that was going on there.]

I'm not sure about that! You seem pretty talented to me.

[ But she wont' insist if he doesn't want anything like that. She knows how it can be to not really want a ton of attention drawn to you. Drawn. Ha. ]

I can't wait to see that one! And maybe you'll get the chance to put one there when Elah returns. If they do...

[He shrugs.]

Yeah? I think I can understand why. [ She's assuming it's because it signifies someone really thinks they're friends. ]

It fits a bit too! I'm no sure what I'd pick for you if I tried to think of one.

Tiger doesn't seem really fitting. Did someone call you that?

[Roxas rolls his eyes.]

Xigbar. I think he was just being a jerk.

Sounds like him. I think he just finds it fun to be a jerk most of the time.

Probably. Not sure which was worse. Tiger for me or Poppet for Xion.

Poppet just seems really mean spirited. Like he went out of his name to make sure to dig up the absolute worst.

Yeah, he sucked.

Kinda put me off nicknames until now.

I think that's understandable. But also good that you're coming around to them here. It feels like we shouldn't let him win like that, you know? To let him impact our lives even so far away.

Oh I am definitely not letting that happen.

I promised myself I wouldn't listen to any member of the Organization like that ever again.

Good. I'm glad. That's also a really good promise to make. I made a similar one too. Along with another small promise to myself.
