Hi! My name is Amy Rose, and I've been here for a few months now. I don't want to take up too much of anyone's time, but, I just wanted to thank whoever was kind enough to buy me the cutest little cottage!

[ If one squints, they'll be able to see that she is, in fact, sitting at a small kitchen table in the aforementioned cottage, which is still being decorated given... well. She just moved in. Somehow, she brightens even further. ]

This was the sweetest, kindest thing anyone has ever done for me! I have no idea which one of you did it, but I wish I did so I could give you a proper thank you! I understand if you want to stay anonymous... but that definitely won't stop me from trying to figure out who it is so I can at least thank you in person!

[ Amy's all about a good mystery, too; she's been informed that sometime in the near future at home, she'll have a murder mystery themed birthday party. And this, right here, is a REAL good mystery -- no one even died, so, that's WAY better! Her eyes light up suddenly, as she remembers something else she wanted to say. ]

Oh! That reminds me! Now that I have a real kitchen, if anyone here wants or needs something cooked or baked? I'm your girl! Seriously, it's been MONTHS and I've been dying to cook. So, if you need something done, let me know! Ah, but, I'm deviating... sorry! To wrap things up... whoever bought this place for me? Please don't be a stranger. Given you bought it, you know where I live. And... thank you, so much, from the bottom of my heart.

[ Amy bows politely with gratitude, and after a few moments, the feed cuts. ]

Yeeeeah, they had some pretty bad black mold I helped them get rid of. I haven't been back since though. Aha, hopefully it hasn't come back...

Black mold? That stuff can be pretty dangerous, right? It's real cool of you to help them out so much, I wish I could without Surge trying to bite my entire face off...

She'll get there eventually! You're a wonderful person and anyone who knows you is lucky to have you in their life. Surge included, even if she doesn't realize that yet.

I think the biggest hurdle is convincing her that I really don't want to hurt her? Like she is dead set on thinking I'm out to get her.

[ She doesn't think, she knows. Mostly because the tenrec has crashed out enough to tell her some of her backstory, at least. ]

I know it's hard to be patient, I've blown up on her a few times now and I feel really bad about that. But I think she'll come around one day! You've got a pretty good track record of making enemies into friends, y'know.

She definitely has, that's why I'm being as cautious as I can be.

I'm not the kind of guy that gives up, sure, but I also can't force her to chill out any more than I can force Eggman to stop being evil. Guess I'll just keep playing it by ear?

That's all you can do! I think maybe, just maybe, at some point she'll stop seeing you as a threat. I do my best to not mention you or Tails whenever I'm around her because I don't really like to trigger her or, y'know, an argument that leads to a physical altercation.

[ Granted, given it's Surge... the tenrec has actually been pretty mild when it comes to Amy, especially lately. ]

Just give her time and space. She's trying to learn about herself, too, and be her own person.

[ Even if, y'know, she says she wants to replace Sonic. That's never going to happen, so, she's hoping that Surge kinda... branches out and learns to be comfortable with being who she is, at least until she can learn about her past and who she was.

Amy straightens. ]

I just realized something. This place is pretty big for just me... why don't you and Tails come crash here with me? You could store way more stuff here, and then we'd all be together if something happened and we were all needed, you know?

[as per usual, Amy's right. And it works out, Sonic is more than happy to give Surge all the space she needs. It's better for his health that way.]

I'll just keep giving her a wide berth and hope for the best, then.

Anyway, I'd be happy to crash at your place! Beats sleeping in a cramped little boat cabin any day. I'll bounce it off Tails and see if he's down, too!

Honestly? That's a good idea. Kit is the one I'm most concerned about, though.

[ Mostly because he seems so specifically honed in on Surge. It's weird, but also, she kinda gets it in a way. Maybe.

Amy visibly brightens and claps excitedly. Having two of her very best friends as roommates is such an appealing thought, thanks. ]
