(It's a typical day on Nogard, though many people who see this might be elsewhere.

Many have probably heard by now that Chris is dead. Has been dead for several days, in fact, after being captured and tortured by Ganon.

Except... they're not?

That's definitely a shot of a very panicked looking Chris running... somewhere, not paying attention to the shellphone clutched in their hand or noticing that it's recording.

Several people can be heard yelling in surprise in the background as Chris darts past them.

...The fuck are they even running from? It doesn't sound like they're being chased.

The hand holding the shellphone bumps into something, and the video cuts out.)

They tried to break me. When they ...caught me. After I didn't die. I'd been nearly killed by something valuable, and that made me valuable, even though normally they'd just scrap a recaptured runaway for parts.

And how long ago was that? ... Not that it makes it any less awful. I just... don't want you to feel like I'm treating you like a child, or a way you don't want to feel.

I think I'm a little over nineteen or twenty, at this point. I was six when I escaped the first time, and eleven when they recaptured me.

Probably the equivalents of 20 and 25, I guess. Physically I'm 30 something now.

(They still feel weird around children.)

I'm sorry, this is still a lot to process, and humor is a common defense mechanism. Not blaming you, this is on me.

(They snort.) Yeah.

(They sigh.) I didn't really want anyone to be processing it, but Ganon decided everyone needed to see what I looked like in addition to just torturing me.

(If it seems like they aren't treating torture like it's a big deal... well they did just admit to being tortured at distressingly young ages.

They're used to it.)

[ Snarl. There are things worse than death, and she may have picked up some things from bad guys, plus her mental stability will never be 100% thanks to her time on the moon... but she shakes her head, refocusing. ]

Which is why we've got to start working on it. I can't promise how much help I'm going to be - I've done interdimensional travel before, but never caused it. But I want to keep trying. Every day, I'll keep looking for answers. Every day, I'll keep asking.
