I made the purchase of ‘Encyclopedia Necronomica’ earlier but had not the opportunity to make a study of it until now. Having done so, I must ask: who is familiar with the entity pictured here? What do you know?

I shall include photographs from the book and of my sketches in reference to imagery related to my world.

Furthermore, if anyone else wishes to reference or compare this book with entities encountered recently, I am at your disposal.

[ Sherlock had some sense of mind to not study this particular book while feverish and ill. He should be praised for that, honestly, because he spotted something frightening familiar when he finally did.

That had not been an option at the time, and if something like that truly is here, that may not be an option again. To refrain from doing so could cost the lives of many. I'd rather do what I can and die trying than to do nothing, believing in some will-o'-the-wisps of the imagination.

I've yet to see anything exactly like this entity beyond this drawing. However, I must also state that I have not explored under the waters like other have, another reason for my questions.

Only the book.

My last case before I arrived in this world dealt with cultists trying to awaken this entity. Many people had died for it, and my partner and I only just seemed to put a stop to their ritual. My experience with the entity is a step removed yet close enough still to be exposed to numerous horrors for it.

I should mention that a majority of people in the cult were abducted and brainwashed, not willing participants. However, those complicit in the cruelty and spearheading the whole endeavor did wish to see the destruction of the world.
