[There was a loud purring, Dapplewhisker's face and the pokémon inspired catnip toy she had in her mouth. Turo moved the phone back to show that the large cat was draped over his shoulders; with of course Mariposa -with a few of her pups that were still with them- running around, following in behind Dojima there in the background as the man was gathering a few last small items into a box.
The room was... empty, walls bare.]
Ah, I just wanted to make a quick little announcement for those of you familiar with the apartment where Dojima and I have been living—we will no longer be found here.
We are actually moving, as you can probably see and guess, to a house. It will be closer to Cosmo Conservatory for ease of travel, given how much time is spent there between us as is. A much bigger space as well, which will be nice.
[Ah, home ownership—]
That's all. Do have a good day.

Congratulations. If you happen to need an interior designer, I'd be happy to help--consider it a gift.

[Prrrp! says Dapplewhiskers as if in aggreement, still there on Turo's shoulders.]

[Kaveh laughs brightly.] I can send you some images of the things I've done here, but if there are specific touches you or Mr. Dojima want to replicate from your home worlds, please let me know and I can incorporate them no problem.

[Petting her as she was keeping hold of that catnip toy still; making sure they weren't forgetting that.]
What would come to mind is spaces for books; I tend to keep copies of various ones, along with just notes and sketches or journals for my own work. I can of course have Dojima send anything later; he is making sure we don't forget anything. [While young dogs are underfoot, and Bundle-] I do appreciate it, truly.

I think I can probably manage a bibliophile and fellow researcher, Professor.
no subject
Then I am most definitely in good hands, and already know I can trust your skills as well. I am used to having certain spaces blend homey with work; back in Paldea there was even a lab blended with a den.

[And he ain't touching Turo's brand of science, that ain't his degrees.]
I have a few ideas already, but I'll wait until I hear from Dojima to get started. Now, there's one more person I need to ask some opinions from...
[he's padding towards a different room...?]
no subject
[He'd done so in the apartment, and within his 'office' of the medical building after all.]
I will not be surprised if he'd be happy with anything but- ah, if nothing else I can show you pictures of things I have drawn from his descriptions of home. I did so given I designed and built a kotatsu table as a gift to him last year.

[Kaveh reaches the room he's heading towards, and turns his phone around again. To an absolute wonderland of cat furniture. there is a cat tree that is floor to ceiling and shaped like a palace. The built-in cat bed is big enough for a Nanaki. The is SO much room for climbing. Shadowlily is the most spoiled princess in the world.]
Dapperwhiskers, I might not have this much space to work with, but what do you think?
no subject
[Of course Dapplewhiskers had been watching Kaveh through the camera almost eagerly, a swish of that tail and there was that Prrp! from around her toy again. Those big ol' eyes-]
I believe she finds that as something wonderful, and we may be able to dedicate a room if needed. We would have the space to spare for it.

I'm guessing those regions are a lot colder than Sumeru?
[Kaveh laughs at Dapplewhiskers excited chirp.]
I'll get the dimensions of the room later then.
no subject
They are, yes. Some months far colder than others depending upon the season as well.
[Turo scritched just a little underneath the cat's chin.]
I will be sure to send that to you, unless you've time to come and see what there is to work with.
no subject
Still awfully generous of you to do this, Kaveh. It's ...appreciated.
[He was looking in the box for the last thing he put in there... Ah. Okay, this should help.]
I don't exactly have a lot of experience with house design, and don't have the best ability to describe things, but. I think I can use something to show what I mean.
no subject
[Kaveh leans a little closer to the phone, curious.]
Oh? Is it something from home?
video: un:detectiveforhierophant
[Just... going to prop up the phone on the desk, making sure it was rested somewhere easily, with Dojima sitting infront of it, placing down-- A dark crystal ball? Getting it close to the screen as he could.]
This is a memory scryglass. It lets you see the places from your memories, even different worlds. I don't really know how to describe my home well, but with this I should be able to show you what I'm thinking of. If this doesn't work over the Shellphone, I can show you next time I come to the cafe.

[Something horribly homesick flits over Kaveh's face for a second, but he brightens back up.]
Hold on, let my grab my sketchbook so I can take some notes down. And of course, you're always welcome to come by even if this works fine.
no subject
[Dojima knows that exact look. He's seen it on Turo's face before, and he's pretty sure he's had it too.]
...Yeah. I'll show you what I mean when you're back, but I'll drop by the cafe later this week and we can take a closer look then. I'd be interested to see your world too, if you're inclined.
[There... tactful enough, right? For work, and Dojima's curiousity. Kaveh is doing him a favor, showing him his home.]
no subject
[Kaveh smiles a little ruefully as he comes back into frame with his sketchbook.] I designed the cafe itself to look like home, and our house, but it's never really enough, you know?
no subject
[Considering Kaveh is so homesick, wouldn't have Alhaitham had shown it to him...? But then, maybe he didn't think of it.]
...Yeah, I get exactly what you mean.
[Already the Crystal was starting to glow softly--]

also I the player can no longer remember if we actually remembered to buy the reward object oops.]He mentioned it, I just don't know if it's keyed to a single person or not?
[Kaveh shrugs, but he's leaned closer to his phone screen to see.]
no subject
[Okay. Speaking of focusing...
--In the crystal...appeared a small home. Looked mostly made of wood, right next to a black paved road. Opening the door, there would be a small area to take off your shoes, and then step up into the main part of the building--]
[A small kitchen with a table, leading into a bigger living room with a couch and a low table with cushions around it, obviously used for sitting. If Kaveh had seen anything from Inazuma, some of the designs may seem familiar...
There was a young girl at the table with her hair done up in pigtails and bright brown eyes, and as she looked up and smiled at the the viewer, Dojima's own smile would appear... so clearly that of a father looking at his kid. It took him a moment to realise he was lingering too much, and cleared his throat-- the image shifting away--]
--Okay, this isn't exactly what I'd want you to copy... just, giving you an idea of what I lived in. I can try to show you the specific two things next.

[Kaveh's voice is very soft, almost gentle. He wonders, sometimes, if his mother would think of him that way.
But that thought is quickly banished--he's a grown man, now, and his mother has her own life to worry about.]
Whenever you're ready, Mr. Doujima.

[B u s t e d.
Kaveh'd get to see a rare sort of sheepish smile from the man--]
Yeah. Her name is Nanako. She'd be turning... 9 this year, if she was with me here. She's 6 here, just a few months before her 7th birthday...
[Seeing her run along to get something from the kitchen, he'd look back up a moment--]
Okay, let's see--
[Opening up the sliding glass doors would reveal --A wooden veranda opening onto a small garden. Summer afternoon sunlight poured onto the scene, with Nanako looking a little sullen while holding a slice of watermelon--
And an entire gaggle of teenagers, sitting or standing there as well, all chowing down--(was one far too tall blond guy putting... salt on his?). The closest teenager to Nanako had silver hair not unlike Alhaitham, as well as that serious expression. A girl with short brown hair, another with long pigtails, and as the visual swept inside again, it would show-- another blond, younger man, young woman with long black hair, and-- Oh, there was Yosuke. Chowing down on a full piece of watermelon himself. Dojima couldn't help but chuckle--]
So-- if you'd be willing to make part of the cottage closest to the garden have tatami mats, and a veranda that opens up like this-- Or as close as you can get, definitely doesn't need to be glass... I'd appreciate it.
