[It's that once in a blue moon time where Heizou makes a public appearance on the network. And it becomes quite clear why once the feed comes on: his face is quite pink and he has a big cheeky grin on his face and a bottle of wine in the hand that isn't holding the camera. So... Yeah, he appears to be drunk.
He also appears to be outside somewhere, despite how late it is. And he is also not alone! Beside him there appears to be one (1) Sherlock Holmes, currently laying down on his seat with his feet up in the air and his head dangling over the edge. He is also attempting to play his violin from this position, for.... some reason. Science? Science.
Either way, the video feed turns on to the sound of Heizou giggling and Sherlock's violin playing. And Heizou trying to figure out what position he needs to be sitting in to send out his Very Important Message. He finds it eventually, with the shellphone angled so that both he and Sherlock are in frame - or at least Sherlock's feet are - and he addresses his invisible audience with an even bigger grin.]
Ah-- Here! Helloooo one and all~! Your friendly local detective agency has decided to take on the mysteeeerious case of.... Sailor superstitions~! That is right my dear rift-jumping fellows, we've even decided to do this one pro bono! That means freeeee~
[There's a moment of fumbling the camera, and once it settles Heizou is holding the camera out at arm's length to reveal where he and Sherlock are: what appears to be a fake boat, crudely built and sitting on land (so to speak) like a playground for children. Did they find this? Did they drunkenly grab chairs and tables and bits of wood to build it themselves? Who knows. But it sure is... vaguely boat-shaped.]
Now as you can see here, the great Mr. Sherlock Holmes and yours truly are currently on board a boat! And as you can also see- [He tilts his head down slightly so that the camera gets a better angle on all his burgundy-colored hair.] -my hair is quite red! But have we run into any bad luck on our voyage? Nooope~! Aaaand POOF! Myth busted!
[At this point Sherlock chimes in drunkenly from off-screen:]
Heizou, did we test all the ways to swirl the alcohol? Did we forget one? [Since obviously up and down is an option-] The taste didn't change at all!
[Someone should... probably stop them. Or maybe join them! Decisions, decisions...]

Speaking of, Heizou takes another big sip of his before putting the cup down, and then moving to lay on the floor nearby so that his head is closer to Sherlock's. Only once he's settled does he reach up to poke at Sherlock's head, much the same way Teason has been.]
You haven't brought me any bad luck, Sherry! In fact, I'd say you've only ever brought me good luck since our paths crossed~
[He may be drunk, but he really does mean what he says. Sherlock is his best friend and confidante, second only to Lyney, and he wouldn't consider him an omen of bad luck even on their worst days.]
no subject
At Heizou's poke to his head, Sherlock jolts a little but settles back into this warm, close proximity. It's so strange to hear his nickname being used once again and spoken aloud. Strange and yet strangely not unwelcome. Different is the best word to describe it. ]
That is one of the nicest sentiments anyone has ever said to me. I can think of few instances when similar words reached my ears.
[ Excuse the reddening of Sherlock's cheeks and the watery look in his eyes. The strength of his emotions are all too easy to bring forth. ]
no subject
Well, it's the truth! Tell me, Sherry. When have you and I ever encountered a strange spot of bad luck together? Hm? I bet you can't think of any~!
[Sure the odd investigation here and there could go a bit sideways, but never unreasonably so. And that's just an occupational hazard! Nothing either of them can't get past quickly enough, especially when working together.]
Besides, the old black cat superstition is ridiculous in the first place. In all my time I've never met with bad luck just upon meeting one!
no subject
Yet... would it be so bad to just believe Heizou? Like he had when John spoke so strongly of him after Mycroft nearly shattered him? Hasn't he found someone who has already accepted his flaws and gained his full trust because they are so similar? Heizou likely can see the internal struggle and the moment Sherlock decides not to fight it.
He reaches down and pokes Heizou's cheek back. Please don't leave. ]
I suppose I haven't either. Black cat or red deer, neither are out to maliciously spread bad luck. The bad luck is only reserved for those guilty of a crime and needing to be brought to justice.
[ And maybe housekeepers hoping for an orderly residence. ]
no subject
Yes, exactly~ And really they should expect it when they decide to turn to a life of sin. We are harbingers of justice, my dear Sherlock! And we won't be stopped!
no subject
I will hold you to that because, for it to be a "we," you are not allowed to leave. If you do, you must come back or take me with you. We fight the injustices of the world better together.
[ Heizou is stuck with Sherlock now. ]
no subject
It's still a bit odd. But at least no longer in a way that makes him want to run or close himself off.]
Oh Sherry, if I could bring you to Teyvat, I would. Both you and your Watson. But for now, I think I prefer to stay here... With my friends~
no subject
And being drunk means his filter is gone enough that his touch starved nature wins out. ]
There are many things I dislike about this world, and yet, I am also loathe to think of leaving it. There is really only one reason I would, and I rather hope John finds his way here instead. He would like you and everyone else who I can call a friend.
[ All but one of his friends are from another world. It's not fair. ]
no subject
...Isn't friendship strange? It comes in all different shapes and sizes and finds you in the most unexpected and often unlikely places. If there's anything that this place seems to excel at, it's at helping people from different worlds become unexpectedly connected!
[He pauses a moment, just humming thoughtfully to himself. And then-]
If your John came to join us here, then I would look forward to becoming friends with him~
no subject
Friendship is strange simply on the account that someone like me is able to have it. Never did I think I would have someone who didn't hate me, want nothing to do with me, or want something from me. Here I am altering my mind place with how I organize people to include friends. John wasn't a chaotic miracle never to happen again. He... might have been a start.
[ A start for a great many things. ]
If I wasn't too much for John to befriend, you should have no fears about the same. Although, I know that if he joins us, I will have to work for his attention. He'll be popular.
[ Some pretty lady will appear before Sherlock has the chance to gather his courage to speak his feelings, and then it will be too late. ]
no subject
At least they can commiserate on this together. They can see each other's flaws and point them out without fear of offending one another. It's nice. Heizou treasures it deeply.]
I would be honored to be accepted by your dear doctor, Sherry. Having more people to trust... could be nice.
[So far he can really only count the number of people he really feels that way about on one hand. Even fewer before his arrival to this world.]
And I'd be happy to help you with that, however I can~ I'll get Lyney to help, too! He's wonderful at directing people's attentions to where he wants them to be.

He and Heizou are their own worst enemy, but the sentiment differs when they see the same flaw, the same issue in each other. It becomes both a confirmation of a pattern and a rejection of it simply because they believe the other more capable than they think of themself. A paradoxical duality.
Another set of soft chuckles joins Heizou's, but Sherlock's originate from another sentiment. ]
Man alive, do I need to fear a repeat of when I first questioned my feelings towards him? You, Lyney, and Kaveh all managed to corner me when I started to research book. I can picture all of you cornering John in relation to me before I have had a chance to talk to him.
no subject
That would depend on the good doctor himself, really! If he turns out to be as oblivious about this sort of thing as you were, then a little intervention will be required~
[He can already picture the scene, the three men dragging Watson off for a drink and a chat, complete with a flustered Sherlock somewhere in the background. In this moment it's particularly hilarious to him, making him laugh a little more.]
But, as I recall, catching you in the bookshop led to a fine partnership~
no subject
[ Sherlock never gets John's limits, and with something so close to the heart and differing from what's accepted back home, it is harder to tell. ]
However, I would say our drug ring case started the partnership. The bookshop... might have been the start to the friendship.
[ There is a small distinction there that probably doesn't matter to most people, but for them, that small distinction could mean so much more. They could partner with someone towards the same goal, a more professional relationship that allows for distance on either side. On the other hand, friendship allows another in closer and doesn't require a common goal. Partnership and friendship can be combined in the same person, but all the same, for two people who didn't know they could have friends, that is the term that weighs heaviest. ]
