Holidays/ Celebrations? Maybe a little backdated??

[Chopper looks rather happy, sitting wearing his ghost costume with a small pile of candy surrounding him. Evidently, everyone seemed to think his costume adorable and gave him lots of candy. He smiles, beaming and waving a hoof at the shellphone, putting another empty wrapper in the rubbish bin next to him with the rest. He may have chocolate around his mouth. But that's clearly not the important thing here!]

Everyone! Hey! So, we've had this 'Halloween' with dressing up and stuff. What other holidays are there?

[Read as: what other excuses are there for him to get all the candy and chocolate? Clearly, the priority here! If there are more holidays like this, he wants to know.]

Thanksgiving? Boxing Day? I guess the New Year makes sense. But I haven't heard about the others.

[But he is keen to learn! To try and help celebrate, especially if it means presents or candy!]

I'm sorry, I should have included explanations. [ Now she just feels a bit silly for that. ] Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate friends and family, things you're thankful for. Really, I think it's just an excuse for having people over and making far too much food. Boxing day comes directly after Christmas and in essence it's just a continuation of Christmas. More gift giving, sometimes there's large sales at stores that do open, and a lot of watching sports.

Oh. I guess Thanksgiving makes sense. Sales are good. Nami likes getting things cheaper.

It's a decent enough holiday, particularly if you like pies and turkey. They also have a day after it called Black Friday where they have a lot of sales.

[ She chuckles. ] I think everyone enjoys a good sale.

I don't hate either of them? I prefer sweets, but. Pie and turkey isn't bad. When the rest of us get a chance to have some before Luffy eats all the meat, I mean. Back home with the Straw Hats.

Nami really likes money. So any chance to save some and keep more...

Lucky you then,there's usually a plethora of sweets involved in all of those holidays. From pies to cookies and even cakes. Does your friend Luffy often take all the meat? Someone should teach them about sharing.

Oh, it isn't just meat. Luffy will eat pretty much anything. He just. Really likes meat. We had to lock up the food so he wouldn't eat it all before Sanji could use it.

Nami? Ah, no. I'm the only Straw Hat here.

[He misses his crew from home. As much as he enjoys his new friends and crew here.]

That's...very extreme. Sounds like he has a bottomless pit for a stomach.

I'm pretty sure his body being rubber helps. He can just stretch his stomach to fit more food....

[Luffy is just. Like that. It's hardly like his eating something he shouldn't have would be anything all that new. Unfortunately.]

I've made some new friends here, though! And I've joined Zelda's crew. So....it's not all bad?

That's a positive outlook to have! I'm glad you've found friends and a crew here.

[He's not sure. Maybe there were some that had the same abilities they gave if someone ate them? Chopper isn't certain if her world had the fruits, though. So he's just guessing, really. It could be something quite different, given people were here from so many different worlds.]

Ah, no. I'm afraid I'm not really sure what Devil Fruit is.

Oh. Ah, well, they're a particular kind of fruit back home. If you eat it, you can get different abilities, depending on the fruit. But it also means you can't swim if you eat one of them.

[So. Definitely a double-edged sword when it comes to having eaten one and being a pirate on ships all the time.....]

How interesting. Not being able to swim is a very specific drawback.

Hm. We manage. Not everyone on our crew has eaten one, so some of us can still swim. If Luffy, Robin, or I fall in the water.

[So, it isn't as major an emergency. They still have someone around to help. But it is still something to be mindful of.]

Yes. But it's okay! I just use a paddling pool at the beach instead. And I just have to be careful about not falling overboard. But the others on the crew can swim if anything did happen, so it's fine.

It's a shame you have to be so careful, but I'm glad you have your crew to help you out.

Yeah! I know Zelda and Darin wouldn't let anything happen to me. Or Karlach! So, it's fine! And Garrus knows I can't swim either. So they know to keep an eye on me, I guess. It hasn't been a problem so far.

[Except that one time at their little party when Darin almost just tossed him into the ocean jokingly, not knowing yet that the little reindeer cannot swim.]

They are. I miss them, but. I'm sure I'll see them again. Either if they come here too, or I see them when I go back home. Until then, I have been making new friends here. So. It's not so bad.

[Even if he still misses Luffy and the others a lot. It just means he will have lots of stories to tell them when they do arrive, or when he goes back home.]
