So I heard about this Dorina Gray lady who can paint your soul or something.

I'm curious: did anyone go and get painted by her? What was it like? Was she nice? Do you think she'd be able to help uncover some deep memories, or is it just a "you're a good or a bad person" kind of thing?

She can paint your soul! I saw it on the MANTA Board, and there were some people in a tavern talking about her.

What kind of paint could even capture something like a soul?

Magic, I guess? People can do all kinds of weird things here.

It was a strange experience. She's either very good at guessing, or she really does have some kind of magic.

So she painted a really honest version of your inner self, then? How can you tell?

Well, I don't really know. To your point about deep memories, she painted something about myself I've forgotten, so it isn't as if I can verify its veracity. But there were other things she picked up on even though I lied to her when I told her the stories she asked for.

I'm not so sure about the accuracy of her painting-- [ Mostly. Because Rem had her "portrait" painted, and she didn't quite understand it. She'd chalked it up to simply being ~uncultured~. ] But she was incredibly nice and patient.

They say art succeeds when it evokes emotion of any kind. Never heard about it doing that for memories. How would that even work?

I'm glad that she's nice! It may be worth going to say hi to her even if she's not able to help me with my memories.

I don't know how it would work, but if she can paint the soul it's worth a try, right?

She's a bit mysterious, I think! But I think that makes her talent that much more intriguing.

I suppose it could be, but maybe be careful? But what if those memories contain something bad, or something you don't want Miss Grey to know about?

I admit I am curious as to her works as well. I have heard tales of those possessed of a sight beyond sight, though rarely have I had the chance to experience it myself.

Are you hoping for her to uncover something of your own past?

I am! Even if it's just a little something, it's more than I have now.

I see. You are burdened with amnesia, then? Was this an ailment that afflicted you upon arrival here, or one you carried from before?

You had a bad experience with her?

She was given this venerable one's description and produced the same figure one could get from any common child with no skill or talent for the arts.

[So either she was not as talented as suggested, or she has purposely given him something insultingly simple. And considering what she had produced for Rem, as well as the meticulously detailed frozen tree shading his own figure... Well, he certainly could not accept that it was an accurate representation of his soul. Therefore: fraud.]

I found her to be quite personable. She did seem to be able to get a sense of a person's past, though I'm uncertain of how much detail she may be able to offer. I quite enjoyed my time spent with her, however. It may well be worth trying, Miss March.

I'm going to go check it out. Almost everyone has said she's nice and talented and kind of mysterious. I think it'll be a good experience.

I admire your optimistic spirit! You certainly have the right approach. I think you'll have a pleasant visit with Miss Gray, and I can't imagine she won't enjoy your company.
