Many people come here looking for a way back to their world and I cannot blame them. The idea of mysterious rifts controlling when we come and go... it's more than one can take. Should take, even.

But if it's not asking too much, I'd like to seek out a differing opinion:

If you had the choice to leave this place, would you stay instead? Why?

I can think of a few hypothetical scenarios in which someone might want to stay here rather than return to their home world, but I imagine those would be a small minority of cases.

Most people have loved ones, families, obligations. Ties that bind. Only a few would have so little as to find the prospect of building a life in another universe acceptable.

I don't know. I'm not sure what would compel someone to abandon all responsibilities like that. I have many obligations awaiting me back home, and certainly not all of them are pleasant, but I would never run away from them.
