Warnings: Swearing/General idiocy/etc. Both callmekacchan and heir_conditioned might be responding. I'm under the weather so I may be slow and pre-apologize.

When the shellphone post revs up, it's someone mid conversation putting said shellphone down for one reason or another. "--ave to, Bakugo. Eventually everyone has to."

"Can't convince me of that. What you can convince me of is you going and fucking yourself."

"...Why would I be able to convin-"

"Shut your mouth, shut it and keep it shut."

There's a long silence and a frustrated groan/sigh combo, somehow defying the sounds from being separate. "Say what you were saying."

"Why would I be able to co-"

"NOT. THAT ONE, MORON. BEFORE THAT."

"Oh."

"Ughh."

"You have to, Bakugo. Eventually everyone has to."

"Gimme one good reason."

"Having a broad spectrum of friends."

The person speaking next makes a noise that's supposed to emulate a buzzer, "Hard pass."

God that's even worse than a regular pass. Hmm... "Being able to reach out to more people in general?"

"Not on your life, keep trying."

"Networking...?"

"For what?"

"To bring more people toget-"

"Nope."

There's another sigh, this time just a regular one and it's from the first of the two speakers.

"Because if something happens and someone needs Dynamight, how will they know to reach out to you if they don't know that you're capable, willing and able? Through Midoriya and I? They will reach out to us and us alone. I think that would be a disservice to themselves and to you, you're an accomplished hero and I think people deserve to learn that from your mouth."

A small silence yet again. Something that when the next speaker speaks up finds him less animated and less uninclined.

"...Whatever. I don't care. Set me up with your friends or whatever."

"I only know a few people he-- Oh. Huh."

"What?"

There's rustling and obviously they're getting closer.

"I must have hit the broadcast."

"YOU WHAT?"

"I must have hit the broadca-."

"IDIOT!"

"Ah, Hello. This is Shoto Todoroki. If anyone can hear me. Please meet one of my best friends Katsuki Baku--"

"--NO."

There's a grabbing noise, scraping the phone before the feed ends.

Why particular building? Have the others given you problems?

He's very intelligent. He probably already read all the history books of this place, researching. Knowing Bakugo he will be our tour guide.

That location is more... Specific to Paladins, I suppose you could say. Corsairs are not usually permitted entrance.

If our blonde friend so wishes to give a tour, however, why should I refuse?

[Shoto considers this for moments, it's not even the Corsair issue because if he wants to go somewhere with a friend, he's going to go. If this is Bakugo's friend, then it's Shoto's friend, too.]

Bakugo would make the best tour guide. He's always versed in everything he does. I bet he already know.s

Yes. He's one of my closest friends and someone I would entrust with my life in his hands.

That may not mean much to someone else who doesn't know me either, but I would hope it vouches.

Does it matter if I know you well or not? That you would trust someone else to the point where you are looking for them to meet and connect with others is enough. Then you state that you would trust them with your life.

It speaks of how highly you regard this person.

I do, Bakugo is one of the most honourable people I know. People describe him as crude sometimes, but I don't think so. I think he's blunt and honest.

Crude? In what manner might he be considered crude?

I've heard him described as rude, but I don't think he is. In my experience he wants me to do my best, so he's hard on me. There have been times I'm sure people think his methods aren't the best methods. We've been at odds before on some things but we were able to work it out pretty easily.

I have spoken to him a couple of times. He comes across in a blunt way, but I am not so sure that I would call it rude either.

As long as it works for you and that is the understanding that the two of you have in regards to one another, I'm also not sure that the opinions of others matter overmuch.

They matter. If someone is going to lie about Bakugo, there's no reason I shouldn't correct them.

Bakugo's honour wouldn't need defending, his honour speaks for itself. His record speaks for itself and the people he's helped can speak secondary.

[Shoto is silent for a little bit, he's not unnerved by it. He's thinking. That takes time and energy.]

I think I understand now. I stand by what I said, and even accidentally, I stand by what people heard me say. I'm glad you at least understand. We may be having a meeting one day, people from this or people he meets. Should I contact you?

If there is a meeting to be had, you may do just that. I am not opposed to coming across you both again.
