Gifts won't be necessary... for me, of course. I'm certain I could put together something for Jill's liking, though.

You can't have a wedding without gifts! Even worlds away, I think my mother would be pretty disappointed if I showed up empty-handed. You have to at least let people bring you wine to celebrate with.

Well, a disappointed mother is an entirely different story.

It sounds like this has been a long time coming for the two of you. I'm Harding, by the way. Jill seems like she's happy here. I'm sure you're a big part of that.

Clive. It is a pleasure to acquaint myself with any friend of Jill's.

It has been a goal of mine to preserve her happiness since we have arrived [ despite at one point leaving BUT THAT WAS ANOTHER ISSUE ] It... has not been without its trials, but I am happy to have reached this point.
