Warnings: None besides the nature of the uh. toe ring (Game's A Foot) being what it is.
If there is anyone with a penchant for feet who would take this ridiculous toe ring off my hands then I would be much obliged.
[ He attaches an image of the toe ring, which was his reward from completing the investigation into the brothel's lockbox. ]

I suppose 'tis a little late to ask for your discretion.

[ Tone in the written word is hard to read but Emet-Selch doesn't sound too apologetic. ]
I'm sure our illustrious captain will be none the worse for a few rumours.

[ He can read the tone in the text. No worries here. ]
Still, I'd probably rethink accepting any requests from brothels or the Naughtilust in general.

Meanwhile, if I had to come up with the scenario myself then I would be no doubt occupied for hours over several days or even weeks composing the situation. And then I would have to act it out myself, which is even worse. What sort of enjoyment am I supposed to derive from all that work?

[ All things considering. He had thought that chasing after Sephiroth had been his own idea. And yet... ]
Would you though? Have to act it out yourself? Not sure that it's a requirement.
I'm sorry Cloud
My boy, I think you may be missing the whole point of this discussion: outside of war and certain criminal circles, murder is a crime of passion. 'Tis not an idle past-time one indulges in unless one possesses a severe lack of empathy for one's fellow man. What do I have to gain by murdering some hapless fellow and attempting to obfuscate my involvement? Nothing. If their death has no meaning to me, then there is no reason to conceal my involvement. 'Twould be the same if I were to hire a stand-in.
On the other hand, if, for example, a woman feels jilted by a cheating lover and decides to murder them or both parties in revenge, there is now meaning to attempting to conceal her involvement. There is satisfaction and closure in unravelling their thinking, their motive, and exposing the culprit. There is, dare I say, catharsis.
