[Due to the Garuda Incident, this post is coming from a very bedridden Joshua who is recovering from some bad injuries. So, he’s bored and desperately running out of books to read.]

Good afternoon,

It seems I've found myself with a surplus of free time this month, and with that realization comes the stark truth—I've exhausted my reading list.

So, I had an idea. Why not extend an invitation to others who might be interested in joining the book club that Tifa and I have been enjoying? Every few weeks, we gather to exchange ideas and thoughts on the current book we're reading, and it's led to some wonderful discussions.

While our tastes have leaned toward adventure and romance novels thus far, I'm open to exploring books from other genres to diversify our collection. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few of the books we've read so far:

"The Swashbuckling Misadventures of Captain Bumblebeard"
"Enchanted Hearts and Dragon Flames"
"Spells and Sword Swells"
"Quest for the Heartstone: A Tale of Love and Sorcery"
"Siren's Song: A Pirate's Passionate Plunder"
"That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted A Love Potion At A Werewolf"

Although, I’m still not entirely certain what “yeeted” means. I only assume it means, “to throw”?

I did not think there'd be more discourse over the nonsense-sounding term "yeet" than the existence of werewolves, but life does come bundled with surprises.

That said, I'd like to join you and Tifa, if I may, though my shelves are made up of only romance novels and cookery books.

I was surprised about such a thing as well. It seems to be a very important topic to some... All the more reason to spark discussions, perhaps?

Do you think we could find a dictionary and discuss whether or not we'll find that word in there?

[And then argue whether goblin mode deserves to be in there as well.]

Well, someone has to make sure you're not reading anything inappropriate. Better me than Clive, I assure you.

[As if she should talk about inappropriate materials...]

Actually, having a dictionary might just be a sound idea.

[Only because he's curious if "yote" is in it as well or if it's also pirate slang. He sure is feeling his age...]

Jill. Do not, for a moment, think I don't think you don't read those types of novels.

[Her reply takes a moment to come through because wow, she is just offended he would imply she applies her eyes to such genres!]

I have no idea what you are talking about, Joshua.

Yet you still did. I'll have you know, my books are of the purest courting. They don't even hold hands.

Nothing but pure intentions and feelings of friendship, is it? Hm. I see. I'm sorry to have ever doubted you.

[He's totally going to slip a naughty novel into her bed to find.]

Truly, you should be ashamed of yourself. Defiling a lady's name like that. Is that what you've been learning from the books you've been reading?

Perhaps I should look through all of them to see if they meet my approval.
