[Due to the Garuda Incident, this post is coming from a very bedridden Joshua who is recovering from some bad injuries. So, he’s bored and desperately running out of books to read.]

Good afternoon,

It seems I've found myself with a surplus of free time this month, and with that realization comes the stark truth—I've exhausted my reading list.

So, I had an idea. Why not extend an invitation to others who might be interested in joining the book club that Tifa and I have been enjoying? Every few weeks, we gather to exchange ideas and thoughts on the current book we're reading, and it's led to some wonderful discussions.

While our tastes have leaned toward adventure and romance novels thus far, I'm open to exploring books from other genres to diversify our collection. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few of the books we've read so far:

"The Swashbuckling Misadventures of Captain Bumblebeard"
"Enchanted Hearts and Dragon Flames"
"Spells and Sword Swells"
"Quest for the Heartstone: A Tale of Love and Sorcery"
"Siren's Song: A Pirate's Passionate Plunder"
"That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted A Love Potion At A Werewolf"

Although, I’m still not entirely certain what “yeeted” means. I only assume it means, “to throw”?

If you might be interested in joining in on our next reading, please do. As well as I’m taking suggestions for more books that the group might enjoy.

Sincerely,
Joshua.

Think of cars like carts that don't need an animal to pull it. It runs on an engine. Uh... basically a bunch of mechanical parts put together to make it go.

Hm, my story? I think it would be awesome at times but a lot of sad.

What's life without a little sadness, right?

I still feel I'd rather hear them tell the story, especially if it's a personal one. You get to see so much more than just reading from a book. Plus, think of the cliffhangers if they only give you part of it at a time because they have to go do something!

[ Then she suddenly switches to voice and clears her throat. ]

"There once was a girl who tried to become the sidekick of a villain, even though he claimed he just wanted to prove he was framed. He insisted that the knights would listen to him, for he had grown up training alongside them. It didn't matter that he wasn't of noble birth like them, he wanted to protect the kingdom as much as they did. The dark knight went, despite the logical protest of his sidekick, and ended up in prison. He tried to plead his innocence, but it fell on deaf ears.

Little did he know, his not-yet-hired sidekick was sneaking into the dungeon."

See? Cliff hanger!

[ That's fine with Nimona, everyone has their reasons for doing stuff the way they are. ]

Right? Sure, spoken word may not always be as eloquent, but you get the emotion behind it without having to strain your eyes with reading.

Yep, 100% true because I was the sidekick!
