[Open] Ship Seeking

What is the fastest route to acquiring a ship of one's own?

As a man of the desert, I am hardly equipped to crew one by myself; however, I am not the sort to promise a position and be unable to deliver. Still, I also have an interest in those who find themselves dissatisfied with their current circumstances, searching for...more.

I for one would hardly be content chasing petty bounties when there are bigger fish in the sea.

That depends on if you're okay with stealing it or would rather go a legal route!

[ She has to get her gremlin out somehow, might as well go anon on the network. ]

Have I told you about one of the Corsair's favorite games to play?

If no one gives you a better option, this one can certainly be far more fun- and test the skills of anyone else who shows interest in joining you.

[Reaper had already made himself clear, after all-]

If you feel like seeing what they've got, of course.

Option 1: Ask your leviathan for one.
Option 2: Build a ship.
Option 3: Splice many ships together for the greatest, craziest design.
Option 4: Scare a bunch of natives into doing 2 or 3.
Option 5: Steal a ship.

Personally, I'm kind of liking Option 4 and 3 right now. Not that I need a crew.

As someone mention- how do you feel about stealing? The Corsair enjoy a good game of stealing ships, and it brings you praise for the longer you can keep it.

Even better if you can steal a Paladin ship, of course.

Not if you scare A Lot of natives to work in shifts 24/7. Oo oo oo!

Steal a ship, and then splice it with other ships. Then you'll be like the predator ship of the sea. Stealing parts from other crews.

All the better if you ask me. A bit more work getting it how you want, but a good base is a perfect place to start.

How much money the Paladins tend to throw about could assure for a good and sturdy vessel at the very least- there are also merchant ships, and those that belong to other Corsair of course.

Sending those who wish to join you after a Paladin ship, however? Could be a wonderful test of skill.

Two birds, one stone.

I'll go as well, just to help ensure a ship comes of it. I'd rather work with people that do know what they're doing, but also know how to pick up the slack.

Kinda! I've scared a lot of people in the past, and they seem to work really fast! This world is my first where there were a lot of seafarers, though. So I have no idea if being a ship devourer would work.

It just sounded really awesome. Like something from a story or something.

[He knows far too well how to take steps in order to climb- wouldn't be the first time, once he wasn't full of rage.]

Of course, wouldn't be the first time. I'll keep an especially close eye on how well they can work together, and apart.

[ As if she's bothered by that. ]

Well, I helped get my crew's ship and all the upgrades so far. And I'm a fast learner, very adaptable.

Plus, you know, scaring people. I'm great at that. Been doing it since I was little.

There's a bunch of different options, far as I know. Buy one, build your own, find one shipwrecked and fix 'er up. Those are the boring options. If you're the kinda guy that lives on the edge, 'borrowing' one for an indefinite time is a good way to get a working ship already up and going.

[Think Ranma's going to be a goody-two shoes here? Nope. He's a chaos gremlin! If this bites someone in the butt, it's less likely to be his.]

I can't help it if my face is sometimes scary, and I think they know that.

Stealing is such a harsh word.

[Can you hear the feigned innocence over the text?]

Glad to see someone not against having a little fun though. What kinda ship you looking to get?

You know I never even considered getting a ship of my own. I'm too focused on financing a forge.

...Maybe I could combine the two.

Since you have at least two people publicly discussing the potential for stealing a ship and they will likely broach the benefits of doing so, this venerable one will share that obtaining a ship through the 'traditional' means of providing materials to the leviathan of your choice and having one made was 'fast'. It took longer to retrieve the materials and elements that we desired to have incorporated into the ship than it did to wait for God-Beast Nogard to create the Phantom Moon from them.
