001 | Video | New visitors!

[ The videos opens to a familiar face who, surprisingly given the past couple of weeks or so, is actually smiling warmly into the camera.

Small portions of his surroundings can be seen in the background, placing his whereabouts in a rather grassy field.
]

Thought you would like to see the recent companions I've come across. [ He says before panning his face out of view and onto a pile of... chicks?

Well. Chocobo chicks to be exact.

There are eight of them from what the camera depicts- their colors ranging from bright yellow, to silver, to a slightly darker mix of the two. Beyond their chirping forms their mother is seen looking curiously on beside them. Another yellow chocobo is seen further off in the field, and with the presence of Torgal attempting to sniff at them from a safe distance, it looks as though Clive is currently surrounded by animals...!
]

It appears they are but a few days old. Funny. I never thought you to be the motherly type, Ambrosia— [ Clive playfully mocks at the older chocobo who shakes her winged feathers in response.

"Kweh!"

He'll laugh off screen before inching the camera a bit closer to the chicks, who are scrambling around and practically running over one another in childish excitement.
]

Should anyone have need of a new companion, let me know. While chocobos could prove to be very useful here, I don't think I can handle quite this many.

[She can teach him even more if he wants, but first!!!]

Mostly, I was interested in showing a crewmate of mine a chocobo. He really wanted to try riding one.

But honestly, I think this is even better! So I'll definitely take a chick off your hands if you're willing. There're a few of us on Avalanche with some experience with the birds, so I guarantee it'll be in good hands. 🐤❤️

Though, they look a little different than the babies we've got back home.

Well, they're a little... chubbier. Especially in the face. And they've got giant feathers on top of their heads.

Actually. I'll show you.

[And then, a few minutes later, Clive will receive this doodle:]

Like this!

[She may have taken a creative liberty with the cheeks, but he should get the idea!]

Glad you like it. Spent a little too long on that one, to be honest, but I think it's pretty good, right!?

Though, I think all chocobos are cute no matter the shape or size.

So, do any of these little guys have names yet?

I'd really like to meet them first, if that's okay. Where are you at?

[The Roost... What a cute name for an island.]

I'm not, but if you give me some coordinates, I can find my way. I'm sure there's a sailor around here that could use a little bit of extra coin in his pockets. 😉

[Don't worry Clive, she'll teach you about the emojis when she gets there!

Which won't be for at least another day because wow, they are far out from Eltrut, but she's hired one of the best ships to take her there and then back. They dock at one of the beaches and as soon as she's hopped out and taken a moment to admire the high mountains and cliffs of their island, staring up and around in awe, he will get a text from her.]

I'm down at the northern beach. Might be easier if you brought the chick down with you to meet me?

[It is, indeed, their first time meeting, but she's already heard a lot about him from Joshua, so it stands to reason that it was all high praise. So, when she sees him and gives a friendly wave, she jogs right up with as big a smile as she can manage.]

It was, yeah. Waters and weather were good this time around, thankfully.

[Her eyes scan all of the little chicks hopping up and down for her attention.]

Looks like you brought some company along, too!

[And she will be more than happy to give it, leaning down and giving each one a pat on the head and a hello.]
