[ The videos opens to a familiar face who, surprisingly given the past couple of weeks or so, is actually smiling warmly into the camera.

Small portions of his surroundings can be seen in the background, placing his whereabouts in a rather grassy field. ]

Thought you would like to see the recent companions I've come across. [ He says before panning his face out of view and onto a pile of... chicks?

Well. Chocobo chicks to be exact.

There are eight of them from what the camera depicts- their colors ranging from bright yellow, to silver, to a slightly darker mix of the two. Beyond their chirping forms their mother is seen looking curiously on beside them. Another yellow chocobo is seen further off in the field, and with the presence of Torgal attempting to sniff at them from a safe distance, it looks as though Clive is currently surrounded by animals...!]

It appears they are but a few days old. Funny. I never thought you to be the motherly type, Ambrosia— [ Clive playfully mocks at the older chocobo who shakes her winged feathers in response.

"Kweh!"

He'll laugh off screen before inching the camera a bit closer to the chicks, who are scrambling around and practically running over one another in childish excitement. ]

Should anyone have need of a new companion, let me know. While chocobos could prove to be very useful here, I don't think I can handle quite this many.

You could say that. Ambrosia, along with her hatchlings, are chocobos. They are fierce companions, and most use them for travel due to their size.

We've had two on the island for some time now... I just didn't think they were so fond of one another.

[ Wait, you can do little pictures, too??? Tifa you're teaching him so much- ]

I don't know if perfect best suits the situation, but Ambrosia seems to be happy about it all.

Care to pay them a visit soon, or should I bring them to you?

[ Clive tone seems somewhat exasperated, but he will eventually turn the camera towards a pile of wood that had been recently gathered a few feet away from the hatchlings. ]

Already got a bit of a head start on it, though carpentry has never been much a strong suit of mine.

I take it an emu is also a large bird? [ Because that name does not ring any sort of bells. Than again his knowledge of animals only goes so far... ]

Chocobos tend to lay a fair amount of eggs. I believe this is rather typical, but I am no expert.

Well, considering they grow into... that. [ He'll motion to Ambrosia once again who pokes her beak into the camera momentarily. ]

I'd say you would need a fair amount of space. Luckily we have just that.

[What are those differences? Who can say? Looking closely at the birds on his screen, Ranma hummed a wondering noise to himself before snapping his finger.]

Now I remember where I saw those before! Cid drew a picture of one to me a while back. The real deal looks a lot better than those scribbles.

Cid said he rode a 'chocobo' backwards. The amateur drawing he provided is similar enough that from what he described, it could be that bird.

He said he did it for a bet.

Mostly, I was interested in showing a crewmate of mine a chocobo. He really wanted to try riding one.

But honestly, I think this is even better! So I'll definitely take a chick off your hands if you're willing. There're a few of us on Avalanche with some experience with the birds, so I guarantee it'll be in good hands. 🐤❤️

Though, they look a little different than the babies we've got back home.

One of his past many escapades, I'd imagine. I've never witnessed it in person, but he would be far better skilled in that than with a quill.

These are the very same. Don't take Cid's drawings to heart, though. Never was his strong suit.
