[ The videos opens to a familiar face who, surprisingly given the past couple of weeks or so, is actually smiling warmly into the camera.

Small portions of his surroundings can be seen in the background, placing his whereabouts in a rather grassy field. ]

Thought you would like to see the recent companions I've come across. [ He says before panning his face out of view and onto a pile of... chicks?

Well. Chocobo chicks to be exact.

There are eight of them from what the camera depicts- their colors ranging from bright yellow, to silver, to a slightly darker mix of the two. Beyond their chirping forms their mother is seen looking curiously on beside them. Another yellow chocobo is seen further off in the field, and with the presence of Torgal attempting to sniff at them from a safe distance, it looks as though Clive is currently surrounded by animals...!]

It appears they are but a few days old. Funny. I never thought you to be the motherly type, Ambrosia— [ Clive playfully mocks at the older chocobo who shakes her winged feathers in response.

"Kweh!"

He'll laugh off screen before inching the camera a bit closer to the chicks, who are scrambling around and practically running over one another in childish excitement. ]

Should anyone have need of a new companion, let me know. While chocobos could prove to be very useful here, I don't think I can handle quite this many.

What an adorable group of chicks. Your friend there should be proud of herself. I had not thought to see young ones newly hatched for some time.

She is a proud mother, alright. Hasn't left their side since I arrived.

[ His tone appears chipper, likely matching G'raha's obvious enthusiasm. ]

I take it there are chocobos where you are from?

I can't say that I blame her, especially with some of the commentary here. There are times where I wonder how such a small thing can grow into such a large bird.

[ Who wouldn't be excited to see the cute little things? ]

To answer your question, yes. We rely quite heavily on chocobos. Ishgard boasts that the ones they breed are the best.

[gruffier]

[ At least G'Raha is commenting how cute they were, rather than if they could be made into a meal! ]

Rosaria too had its share of loyalist who swore that the chocobos bred in the Three Reeds were the best in the garrison. I had half the mind to agree with them.

[ He smiles, motioning the camera a bit closer to the mother chocobo. ]

Ambrosia is one of the finest, as I'm certain her hatchings will be.

You had half the mind? Does that mean your opinion differs now?

Do you believe your young chicks might prove them wrong?

I claim to be no expert in chocobo caretaking, but given who their mother is I could certainly give them a run for their gil.

The mother... I gather she is yours. As in, a companion of yours for quite some time.

[gruffier]

She is. Circumstances kept us apart for some time, but we were able to reunite not too long ago. I'm surprised she even remembered who I was, given our time away from one another.

Do you have a companion similar?

Chocobos are highly intelligent birds and loyal. It's not so surprising to me that she remembered you, even with the time apart.

Alas, I do not have a feathered friend myself. Though I do know of someone that does.

[gruffier]

[ That does cause Clive to smile a bit, turning his gaze to his feathered friend who tilts her head in response. ]

You're right. We have been through much together. I'm grateful that through all of this she has remained at my side.

[ Oh? Looks like G'raha is in need of a friend, too! ]

Should you be in need of one in the future, I would happily provide. I have a feeling this will not be the last hatchlings we see here.

[ Outside of getting snippy with G'raha... Ah ha. But he ponders over the next words that Clive says. If... If that is the case... ]

[ In all matters that doesn't concern his family, most of all Joshua, and his friends he is a very civil person! So sorry G'raha caught the end of his claws on that day. ]

The chocobos are of their own mind. I have little say how they wish to properly spend their time, if they decide to grow their family.

Maybe one will be extended to yours someday.

Aye, that they do. Yet there is some comfort to be had in knowing that they feel safe enough to continue a family here all the same.
