So I don't suppose anyone would be interested in a one-of-a-kind, annotated copy of a novel from another world, would they?

My thanks, fellow scholar! I confess, at this point, it's becoming a rather morbid sort of curiosity... how terrible must it be for Kaveh to be so hesitant, especially when he seemed keen on giving it away?

[It's sweet, really, that Kaveh is trying to protect him.]

[If only Gale knew that the protecting isn't so much for his sake as it is for Kaveh's own dignity.]

If it helps you to have a better gauge, he was drunk when he read it and still found it to be awful.

[Which, to be fair, is not hyperbole of any degree. Alhaitham completely agrees with his assessment.

But its still not going to stop him from having a laugh, his senior is totally asking for it (especially after that attempt to stop him).]

Listen, it's--It's just that annotating the book is more interesting than reading it.

Ah, so you did the annotations yourself? I'd be interested to see what you had to say, perhaps even while enjoying a glass of wine.

[Well Alhaitham can't say anything right now since Kaveh has a hand over his mouth, doing so also invites Alhaitham to do the age of tradition of going on to lick the palm of his senior's hand.

Kaveh, surely you must realize as a fellow scholar that such insistent protests are like to encourage one's insatiable curiosity! If it really means that much to you, however, I suppose I can allow this opportunity to pass, though I fear a part of me will always yearn to know...

At this point it sounds like it might be a regret that he'll take to the grave... are you truly going to let that happen, senior, when you have the means to prevent such a tragedy?
