Hello.

I am in need of legal advice regarding a private matter:

Is a marriage contract legally binding if one or more parties involved were under the influence of spiritual possession while it was officiated?

How we feel about each other is not in question. We have worked that out quite clearly.

I don't feel that my concern over the potential legal ramifications of our actions is really "overthinking" it. The matter is complex, irregardless of how we feel about each other.

[ "What Zelda wants," huh? Karlach may be simple, but her words hit home. Darin has been encouraging Zelda to think about what she wants for a long time now. ]

I suppose I should spend some time thinking on that. My life usually necessitates that I weigh other factors beyond my "wants" in my decision making.

back home i was being hunted. had to be careful who i trusted. anyone could be out to sell me back to the devil who made me into her soldier.

That explains a lot about the advice Karlach has been giving. Although Zelda has been bound by the duty of her station since birth, she has never been enslaved as it sounds like Karlach has.

It takes a few seconds before Zelda responds, allowing Karlach's words to sink in. ]

Perhaps I have taken my freedom here for granted.
